This to me is the difference in previous staffs and our old approach the last several years. Seems like we would assume a player wasn't interested in us and would pretty much leave them alone without making much of an effort. It was almost like we were scared to be rejected or something. Glad these new coaches get it.
?At first, coach Buckley hit me up on Twitter and asked me if I was interested,? Dunning said. ?They didn?t think I was interested but I had always been. They offered me and we started talking over the course of a month or so and I just fell in love with the guy. He?s a great dude and I can?t wait to get up there and see him again.?

Which brings up a very interesting question...what is the reason for their seeming lack of ANY sort of activity in the 2017 class, or at least in the last 1-2 months?? Have they been told to cease and desist? Are they trying to keep a low profile? You don't hear the bears mentioned ANYWHERE, or very little, by 2017 prospects. It's like they stopped crootin'?!?!

Refer to Steve Robertson's podcast about 3wks ago or so. It was thought that maybe they weren't allowed to do any crooting in Mar. as part of their self-reported sanctions (I know I'm not wording that correctly but can't think of the correct term) maybe & they were the last one to hold a Junior Day in the SEC which most teams at that point had already had at least one or two. I think we've had 3 maybe (if you count Spring game as one)? Not sure. But it was thought that yes maybe they were serving part of their self-reported violations. Yeah I think I totally botched up that explanation.
