I'm going with 6-6 maybe 7-5 if we have a QB that matures quickly. Hopefully the OL will mature and be better than what most think.

AUBURN QB PLAY IS HORRIBLE! THEIR "D" IS GOOD BUT NOT OUTSTANDING....

I see that game as a toss up with us having the advantage at home. USC and KY are 2 teams we should beat as well as all out of conference teams. I see us losing to LSU Bama Ole MIss and arky 8 wins pssible.

This time last year people were talking about how bad LSU's QB play was- and they had us 21-3 in the 3rd Quarter and then Miles just decided to run the clock on us. Auburn's QB play will be better and their juco transfer might even win the job for them. They are very good on the OL and DL- and that will always give them a chance. They have a top 10 class coming in to help. Their questions are at WR and LB moreso than QB I think.
One thing working in our favor is Auburn has to play Clemson, A&M, and LSU before they play us. They could be beat up and/or deflated with a couple losses. On the flip side- the GusBus could be coaching for his job when he comes to Sville.

Beter tell Ole Miss that.
The option is the option is the option.
There's a reason it's been around forever.
Everybody has known how to defend it for 60 years, but knowing and having the discipline to do it , are two different things.
I hope we go back to the "Relf" Offense.
All these QB's can throw better than him and it's not as hard for the Oline to run.
Not only did Mississippi State embarrass LSU on this night. Davis Wade Stadium wrecked Tiger Stadium in music choice, atmosphere and, most of all, volume.

Not really. It's all about coming up with new wrinkles. The zone read was a new wrinkle on the option. Now it's old. Freeze has come up with new wrinkles when needed, Mullen hasnt as much so far.

I agree. If Relph had been able to consistently hit water from a boat when passing, we would have been undefeated that year. So many times a halfway decent pass would have made the difference in those 4 we dropped that year. One reason that so many of us were astounded by his play against Misheeegan.

We should beat USCe. I'll never be scared of an A&M defense. Auburn has been consistently overrated under Gus. Ole Miss is on fire. Arkansas has went full fledge pedestrian and are as predictable as we were under Croom with numbnuts calling the shots up there. Then there's Kentucky. Then we have our OOC schedule. That's 10 very winnable games. I say we get to 7 comfortably with a chance to get to 8 in the regular season. I'd actually set the U/O at 7.5 for this team.

its not about wrinkles- its about the fact our OL is not getting seams for the RB on the zone play. The Read aspect is no good if the LB's arent really that worried about the TB. Our OL guys are struggling and getting eaten up by the down linemen- unable to get to the 2nd level and block the LB's.
That's our problem

I bet Vegas sets it at 6.5

Anybody remember what it was last year? I'm thinking 7.5, could be wrong tho.

If we can't beat this SC team at home, we won't have to worry about going bowling, we'll win 4 or 5. If that happens, Mullen will be willing to take a big salary cut to get out of Starkville. I promise.

There are going to be a lot of growing pains. 6 wins is our ceiling with the inexperience on the field and lack of depth in key positions.
I see what you are saying, and agre we are going to throw more interceptions, but i dont think it will be as bad as you are predicting. I think this because I just don't think we will throw the ball nearly as much next season. I am thinking 20-26 attempts per game. Fitz won't go out there and have the opportunity to throw the ball 45 times like Dak did this year. I expect our offense to look a lot like it did in 09' with Dixon and Lee. The inexperience will cause Dan to simplify the offense from years past and I think it will help in the long run.
I think we can win 8 games - 4 OOC (BYU lost to Mizzou last year), SC, Au, Ark, UK

I want some early vcash odds on the media picking us 7th in the West at media days

I dont think anybody thinks we will lose to SC- but they should be pretty good on D and if we turn the ball over and allow them to keep it close- anything can happen. They gonna try to ugly the game up

I watched USCE's spring game. Ulric Jones (remember that hump) may end up starting for them at DE...extrapolate that to the rest of their roster...we're gonna be fine. We'll win handily

They will definitely pick us last....and this year I can't really blame them, because I think it's going to be a pretty tough year too and I would probably pick us either 6th or 7th.

Wrong.
We got away from it with Russell, then with d
Dak in 14 to limit injury. With 4 QB's we can do it.
I'll be on the field practicing it Tuesday. Because it works.

A&M has had a lot of internal problems they will give us problems up front but with a offensive genius like Dan we should be able to scheme around it. I know its hard to scheme around just getting your asses kicked up front on the OL but you just Got to find a way to win these games thats all there is to it man
We don't have anyone like Jovon Robinson, Carl Lawson or Montavious Adams on our team.
As for A&M they have the best DE tandem in the country, not just the SEC, along with a boatload of talented offensive players. If they get decent QB play from the OU transfer, they are going to give everyone but Bama problems.

Lawson is a time bomb though... I'd be much more surprised if he played every game than if he didn't.
I think Robinson will be the clear-cut 2nd best sec Rb this year

Auburn signed three 5-star DL players to add depth to what was already a damn good DL. They will be sick on the DL in 16. They also return 4 starters on the OL. Auburn is going to be very good upfront
