I really like having Gridley and holland for offense, but gridley's defense just isn't gonna allow it

Tatum in in the 7th. fly out to right for first out before pegging a batter and giving up a double. gridley throws one away to score both runners and move the runner to second. next batter with a line drive RBI to make it 8-5 with one out.

    Tatum shitting the bed again.

Why do we continue to put Tatum in there? He continuously blows the lead every damn time.

I suppose we're trying to find ways to help him get his groove back. Put him in when we have a solid lead. But it appears no lead is very safe with our bullpen.

True, either way though Tatum has really struggled lately.

What really worries me about Tatum is that his main problem lately hasn't been missing the strike zone, which is usually our pitchers problem. His main problem is that everyone has been shelling whatever he throws the past few weeks.. He has been leaving his fastball up too much and doesn't have the velocity to compensate for it. We were really counting on Houston and Tatum to be our top two guys out of the pen this year and they both have really struggled.

Tatum is this years Ross Mitchell. We keep running him out there and he throws batting practice.

We've scored two more runs. 10-5 now.

Hump has two hits with runners in scoring position tonight. He is absolutely killing the ball this season but gets raked over the coals on here because he Ks a bunch, especially against righties. I'll take the Ks with the production. Was Renfroe not similar in that aspect?

I've been saying this too. He does need to get better at hitting the righties and the breaking pitch, but overall his production is there. Glad to see him finding a little groove.

Tonight could be a rare mid-week win. Unless we blow it as we are sometimes wont to do .... Maybe this will be good batting practice for the weekend series with the Bears.

I think Lowe is the best hitter we have... He works counts unbelievably well and hits the ball with authority to all fields.
