Leo will start this year (not sure if it'll be day 1, but he'll definitely start). Also, Peters will be up on the line a lot this year at OLB.... he's ready to hit people.

Yep- Peters is alot like Conner at OM. They want to be close to the LOS and play a hybrid SS/run stopper kind of game.

Me too. I figured we might see Gerri Green or Leo in that role.

No- your inside LB's are real big- like Leo and Green- your outside guys have to be smaller and can run because of Spread offenses. I would have Leo and Green at ILB- with Brown and Gray at OLB

Yep.... Also, Washington & Jung are both playing the Wells style position in the 3-4.

Seeing alot of Gerri Green is pass rushing drills. Will be interesting to see what his role is next year.

It just depends on the DC and what he's trying to accomplish. Bama uses a combination of both. In the NFL it's usually bigger guys that can do both.

Please don't let this be one of the things we go all ape shit about all spring and fall practice...
We will. Be running so many different formations and looks it's not not going to matter who's name is announced on the Jumbotron before the game..
As long as the best players see the most snaps... And Sirmon will be doing this..

Wut? I'm just wondering what the 1st string defense looks like. I hope we're gonna find a way to get Leo, Richie, green, and peters on the field at the same time

Wasn't calling you out... Just making a point that when the depth chart comes out and IF it doesn't have both Green and Leo "starting" and Peters / McCalurin 2nd string let's all just chill...

We'll know on the first scrimmage. I do expect Leo and Peters to both be playing with the 1s come the first scrimmage.

Would you want him to stay there if he's more built for another position?

I believe Simmons' body will make him a 3/4 DE and 4/3 DT. Most high level DE, have the longer leaner body type. Simmons is more blocky

    Jeffery is 298lbs. He's a perfect 3-4 DE but when we go to a 4-3 he'll be a DT.
