Looks like a lot of small ball headed our way in the Gridley, Mangum, Alexander, Robson stretch of the lineup tonight. Not understanding the Rooker at #2, or Lowe at #4 and Kruger at #5....why would you not want your best hitter to maximize at bats by putting him at 2 or 3?
Nevermind, forgot who our coach was for a second.
Let's get a win boys, HailState

If Cody Brown isn't going to be in RF I'm glad to see Mangum there. That kid has some grit and wants to win. He makes stuff happen like Cody.

****ing #Meddler. Kruger can finally play catcher and instead of moving E5 Collins to DH, he moves Rooker.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

It's gonna be pretty cool in Nashville at game time and getting colder all the way through. 49 at 6:00, could be lower 40s by 7:30.

Yep, why would you not put Humphreys at 3rd, Rooker in the OF and put Collins to DH. Cohen has to be the dumbest "smart guy" ever.

Because he can't play 3b...
And if they aren't throwing a LH Cody has to be in the lineup..

Hump isn't any better at 3rd than Collins. Now if you want to complain about no brown, ok. But we did replace a no bat w a bat potentially. Question is against vandy, who loves to run, is marrero more valuable defensively than the offense we put in...?

Muther****er. **** Cohen the muther****er. We will prob win but hump will k 3 times while Cody sits. And we won't have hump available in the pen.

Agree. Very risky playing Kruger at catcher for the first time this year against Vandy... How bout a few mid week games just to get him comfortable..
And since CJC is hell bent on playing Hump ( who will K twice tonight if they have a Righty on the bump) I would much rather be better defensively at 3b than right field..
Did Stovall even travel? Have someone else play The hot corner and DH Collins...

LHP Ben Bowden gets the start for Vandy.

How do I bet all my vCash Prohen bunts first time we get a hit?

Personally, I'd have taken the opportunity to put Stovall at 3B. He's a baller that has earned more PT, imo. But #Meddler gonna meddle.

Wouldn't putting Stovall there in a spot start be meddling? And leaving Collins at 3b not meddling?

Robson just strikes out WAY too much to be a leadoff guy. Not sure who else we
could put there but he needs to put the ball in play with his speed and see what happens.
