About where I expected after this weekend. Hopefully our pitching keeps improving.

Hope so too but our pitching has been pretty darn good this year. I know everyone seems to want perfection all the time but our pitching staff has only allowed more than 5 runs in 2 games so far this year and one of those was the first game of the year where the freshmen imploded. That's not too shabby folks.

Our team ERA is 2.94 which is pretty good.

Let's see. UNM wins 2 from a directional school that came in with a 6-5 record and no wins vs anybody of consequence, then follows that up with a 3-game sweep of SWAC school Grambling State who came into the series 4-6, having beaten nobody of consequence and having also been swept at home vs unranked Pitt, and that earns them a 4-spot bump.
We beat a very solid USA, who came into our game 9-3, with a win over UGA and a 2-game sweep of USM, sweep a 3-game series vs then #9 Oregon, who came into our series 8-2 with two 1-run losses, and we get just a single spot more of a bump?
I really thought we'd jump over Cal & NC State. UNM was able to jump over teams they didn't beat that were 5 spots ahead. Other than Oregon, who we dispatched ourselves, we only got bumped over teams that were within 4 spots ahead. Doesn't seem right to me.

I guess I am more concerned with sometimes we have problems with walks. Overall it might not be a problem but it seems like even when Hudson was throwing good we still throw too many pitches. I understand some of the freshmen having that issue but as good as Hudson has been it seems like he is all over the place.

Ole Miss will implode during the back half of the season like they do most every year under Bianco. Rankings in March are meaningless. We will have plenty of opportunity to be as high as we want to go in the polls.....starting this weekend.

We have a big opportunity this coming weekend to help our ranking
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Let's not worry about OM. I feel this ranking adequately reflects who we really are...
-
Just wanted to mention that apparently FAU is still pretty damn good. They did lose to the St. Louis Cardinals 13-6 though.
