If the Bulldogs score more points than USC, they'll win.

I got the feeling like I did back in 96 in New Orleans when the men went up against the supposedly invincible Kentucky Wildcats. We can do it.

    The girls deserve a ring.

We are REALLY young. USC is VERY experienced.

USC would be an 8 point favorite if lines existed in WBK

I would like to see what Okorie and Tmac underneath the basket would do for a few minutes.

loved watching this team the last 2 years. penetrating PG, lock down 2, all star SF, versatile 4, raw but incredible size at the 5.

a lot of good points in this thread. we're going to need great games from Okorie & TMac if we hope to slow down Coates, & hopefully they can convert some putbacks. Obviously VV has to be hot today. Last night she started out cold but shot her way into getting hot. Mitchell will be all over her so we have to find some scoring elsewhere, & I would look to Breanna Richardson to be the x factor. Dillingham was seated while the team danced & celebrated after the game, & mouthed to VV "I'm tired". Her & William got banged on last night but they are as tough as they come. If they can play their roles that will be enough.

I'm hoping we can muddy this game up & win an ugly one. MSU 60 SoCar 57

I think we are capable, but I do not think we will. SC is an upper tier team (like UConn), and is very experienced, very very good, and our girls looked as if they had accomplished their goal last night just by getting to the Finals. Can't say I wouldn't react the same way if I were them....but they seemed like a team that had won it already, not like a team with more business to take care of the next day.

But then again, maybe they have hour long dance offs after every game in Women's Hoops...what do I know.

No we cant. Our lack of post game is a killer vs Top 8 level teams. We will defend them pretty well- but scoring will just be too damn tough for us against them.

We play 10 times on a neutral court & we win once .. maybe twice. Yesterday, we were able to disrupt UT with our D and take them out of their comfort zone. It will take that intensity + better shooting to beat USCe. Our % from 5 feet in was not good. Got to finish.

We lost to them by 6 in the Hump BUT we shot 16 of 59 (27%) from the floor .. compared to their (19 of 44) 43%. We took 15 more shots than they did! One stat that we won then .. we shot 16 of 17 FTs (94%) to their 15 of 23 (65%).

We will not be an elite team .. 'til we learn to shoot better.

At the half VV is 5-10 shooting. The rest of the team is 4-15. Outside of VV, nobody else on the team knows what to do with that orange ball they're dribbling and passing around.

And to put UCONN in perspective they led SC by 20 in the 4th @ Columbia. Ended up winning by 14 I think.

they'll lose the 3 starting guards next year but retain the two post players, who are the ones that put them at another level. We lose 1 Sr who did not play today, so I expect to be more evenly matched w/ them next year. Okorie & Tmac need to have Wilson & Coates in their heads all offseason. Tennessee returns almost everybody & will be improved. Kentucky should be about the same & I expect TAM to take a step back. We will compete for regular & tournament SEC championship next year.

For now let's catch our breath & make a tourney run.

Our problem is that our Guards are munchkins- so even next year we have problems. SC is long and athletic- their G's swallow up ours. Secondly is our post play- offensively they are shitty. They need maturity and a helluva lot of development.

We'll be a top 10 team next year- but with small G's- not sure we can close the gap on the top 5
