I totally agree. I would rather have steve telling the truth than someone sugar coating it. Steve wants a change in our recruiting and heck if you do not either then you are satisfied with 7 wins a year. I am glad Steve is calling Mullen and his staff out. People need to wake up and see that Mullen has become totally complacent.

There is probably not a handful of radio guys that went to the school and discussing with a site guy of that school, that would have even choose to have this discussion today. You don't have to be Yancy or Johnson homer to that degree to understand there is time for that discussion. It wasn't today. How many times have C34 and others tell posters to cool it or out right delete stuff lately. We eat our own. This doesn't help us right now

There is probably not a handful of radio guys that went to the school and discussing with a site guy of that school, that would have even choose to have this discussion today. You don't have to be Yancy or Johnson homer to that degree to understand there is time for that discussion. It wasn't today. How many times have C34 and others tell posters to cool it or out right delete stuff lately. We eat our own. This doesn't help us right now

I agree to an extent. I have kept my feelings about this class to myself and will until after signing day, but Im not sure anything anyone posts or anyone says will actually affect our finish even 1%. Kids know where they want to go, I had heard a few weeks ago that Scott was thinking about Bama hard and I PM IYOK and we both didn't believe it. Hell, I still don't believe it, but it is happening.

We've got 24 hours to swing things our way, Im not sure it is enough time. Losing assistant coaches, losing big games, and having a coach no comment his way through December coaching searches eventually takes its toll.

I understand what you are saying. But with a player that is 50/50, 1% is all they need to decide to go elsewhere. It just can wait 2 days. It really can and is the best time to dissect this stuff. Especially with a class like this.

We have an "awe shucks" mentality. Other programs are like "let's get this shit done". Bo and Steve discussed how our coaches never introduced Aeries Williams to Lashley until Scotts official visit a couple of weeks back. Two West Point stars that didn't know each other should have been introduced LAST year at the latest. We are lazy. We are either dumbasses or are completely incompetent or lazy. Maybe a combination of all.

Fair enough, and that is why Im not posting much. The only thing I would say is that I don't think there is a player left on the board that is 50/50 with MSU. I think the dye has been cast with pretty much every recruit. Im still holding out hope that AJ decides to sign with us, he is announcing at his football complex - and has invited the public. I expect a strong MSU presence.

I'm really starting to get apathetic about all of it but I don't understand how a coach now 8 years into the same job can have these types of issues? I really thought we at least had the in state recruiting stuff down pretty well. We kicked butt in state last year with a very good class.

I don't believe this. Williams would have been a senior when Lashley was a sophomore and they didnt know each other? its not like west point is a big school.

Shut up. I said definitely need to talk about it. Not today. So we have heard that we are in some tight races with guys and a lot of what is discussed is being used against us. True or not it has been stated schools are using it against us. We have 24 hours supposedly to reassure a recruit and our own radio guy and site guy decide to help CONFIRM what is being used against. Yeah that was helpful. And you know better. These kids can absolutely turn on a dime and things like this could be all the nudge they need. You know this. Don't come at me with the truth hurts crap. Time and place. We eat our own and wonder why we have perception we do.

Excellent post. We need every one of the GTR guys and the others left on our board to continue to improve and take that "next step" we keep hearing about. I want them all to have a great career and get to the NFL and I believe they can do that and more right here at MSU. I am still looking forward to an awesome wednesday with a LOT of national media talking about how MSU really closed hard and fast to make a splash with these guys!
