You can wrap Kobe In Maroon and white. I'm hearing that so far he is just being polite, everyone knows where he is going.

On a happier note, several Crystal Balls for Stewart Reese have appeared. I don't know too much about this croot but he's huge. 340 pounds. Does he project more as a OG or OT?
Any word on Lashley? He was visiting LSU this weekend and tripped to Bama earlier. Dammit we need to lock up these kids from the GTA.

Think he projects as a guard. Some have him 3 star and some have him 4 star. Heard Steve say he is big road grader type in the same mold as Gabe Jackson. He cancelled his last 2 visits after visiting us. Announces Monday I believe and looks good for us.

See where Nigel Knott's mom just said he did NOT go to Bama last weekend. Said it was a false rumor. Said he will be choosing between Bama, Ole Miss, and State tomorrow.....anybody got any thoughts? I have no idea what to expect here...I still think it's State or Bama, but who knows. Early announcement makes me feel like Bama since Saban may not have a spot on NSD...but who knows.

If we somehow were to get AJ, Simmons, Knott, Kobe, and Lashley....along with Reese, Cushenberry, & hang on to Farrar....Mullen is the man, and State fans should never be allowed to comment negatively on recruiting again.

And if he didn't get them all its not because he didn't do everything he could to land em all. Between all of us, I still ain't the least bit worried

Good to hear...
I agree on not blaming Mullen if he doesn't get them all. Particularly with AJ, sometimes kids just want to leave their home towns for college & it's a tough thing to combat. Miami loses local kids all the time, Winston went to FSU instead of Bama when Bama is 20 minutes from Hueytown, Warrick Dunn is from Baton Rouge but went to FSU, Deshaun Watson is from a town that's 20 minutes from Athens, GA, & Auburn HS has lost players to Bama. It actually happens more often that you think and it happens to most all programs
Sometimes the hometown kids can be the toughest to recruit because they may just want to get out on their on & also familiarity breeds contempt. It stinks, but it is what it is.

Looks like John Michael Hankerson committed to Mullen this morning. Paul and Steve have confirmed. 2 star on Scout, 3 star on Rivals and 247. 4.28 40 yard dash. His dad ran track at MSU. (If y'all didn't know anything about him.)

I believe Hankerson & AJ are either related or really good friends. I believe I read that somewhere.

Apparently Hankerson is actually AJ's cousin from South Bend.
So, does this pass the smell test?
"AJ Brown, a Starkville native, is going to pass up playing for a program on the rise where his cousin & possible roommate from South Bend Indiana has just committed to?" Then throw in that we are almost certainly getting local friends Kobe Jones, Lashley, & our basketball team signed maybe his best friend Tyson Carter.
I mean, call me skeptical at all these reports that MSU is no longer in it with AJ, but does that pass the common sense, smell test? Come on Mane

Hankerson is 6-1. Holloway is 5-8. Not even the same type of body size/composition. He's already half a foot taller and 10lbs heavier than Holloway and it's February of his senior year in high school.
