Thank you Pat Forde.
Should definitely help a lot with Simmons and Jones, not so much with AJ and Knott.

If Simmons and Jones do come, the chance to play with those two may help with AJ and Knott.

But boy, I just hate to see another Freddie Milons situation. Our program has come leaps and bounds since those days so its sad that we are apparently going to have to relive a Starkville guy playing against us 90 miles down the road in the same division of the same conference. Would be easier to swallow if he was just going off to Ohio State or somewhere.
Paul changed his CB to Bama this afternoon, so the writing is on the wall. I can't wait for signing day to be over.

You realize that we play 12 games and not winning two of them means we'd end up with 10 regular season wins?
If the goal is to win 7-8 games, we're not close, we're already there. I don't think that's anybody's goal at this point. And did you watch the LSU and A&M games this year? A good OT in the LSU game is probably worth a win. Harder to say with A&M but obviously there were times this year where we would have beaten them handily.

Well as Ron Polk would say, its a punch to the gut and a slap to the face. Might even could add a kick to the nads.
ETA: If we can somehow still close with Jones, Lashley, Simmons, Knott and hold on to Farrar, to go along with the OL we believe we are going to get that would still be a heck of a good finish.

Our QB was play was inconsistent but our OL got manhandled that game too

I don't think we have any failures, but the concerns have to be OL, DL, and CB. Love our QB, LB, WR, and Safety situation. Not crazy about RB but surely with all the bodies we have at least one of them will be better than average. If our CB's and DL aren't a significant weakness this year, that will be a big step forward for Dan and will show that he's still upgrading our talent.

Honestly, Going to Bama won't hurt like everyone thinks. He'll be a possession WR there versus the go to here. He's not a burner but he attacks the football. Getting Hankerson with his speed, quickness, length, and athletic ability..... With good coaching could negate him. He's my steal of this class if we can land him. His upside is through the roof!!!

It will hurt us NOT getting him a lot more than it helps Bama getting him. If Bama doesn't get Brown they would just replace him with another high level 4 or 5 star receiver. We don't have the luxury of replacing guys like Brown with similar level players. Would be great if we get Hankerson and he becomes a good SEC player for us (heard he could be a WR or a DB) but I don't think anyone is ready to put him in the same category as Brown.

Farror is on the same category as Brown right now, plus he's taller. That's my opinion.

Yep, Farrar is a big time player. Will be much more excited on him if I find out we are definitely going to hold onto him.

Simmons would help us more than AJ. Hell we got receivers but we need dominate DL line a wino needs thunderbird

If we finish like that, I might go to the middle of the square, pull my pants down, and tell the UNM snobs to kiss me in the brown!!! You better believe I would take that finish. AJ would be a hard pill to swallow but it's definitely not our position of need.

In your opinion, how many more you think we will take in this class? I won't hold you to it, just would like to hear your best guess. Thanks again for your info!

Bama right there for that 1. Both sides feel confident.
