We can't win w/o Ware in the game. When he gets 2 early fouls, game over.

Anyone still think a team wouldn't take Malik in the 1st round?

He certainly has a nice stroke. If a team is looking for him to play the point though, Malik is certainly a project

Malik is still just a shooter. Once he put it all together and starts finishing on his drives hes going to be hell. He cant live and die by the long ball. Weve seen him try and live by the long ball through the first 6 games of conference play.

Not saying they wont, but one game does not do anything. He needs consistency. His performance today was nothing compared to what shan foster did to us, and he was a 2nd round pick with much better size.

Ready is not great by any means, but he gets more blame on this board than he should. He does a lot of good.
Just reading through this thread, I would have thought we were getting blown out.
Mississippi shot the ball well today. Played over their collective heads offensively.
Team is playing hard. Good to see. Should have a shot in two road games this coming week.

We will lose at South Carolina. We will have a chance at Missouri

We may lose at USCe, but don't be fooled by their record. They are not that good. They have more depth than us but their starting five is not any better than our starting five.

Their offense is terrible. If we can scrore in the 70's, we win.

We are 1-5 and barely beat an injured UM team. I don't have much confidence in us winning in the road. I hope I'm wrong.

Fair. But we lost at Ky and fla in nail biters, and USCe is not as good as either of those two.

The main problem I saw today was that our entry passes were consistently at his shins. You can't throw bounce passes to a big man and expect good results.

This, all day long. He had at least four dribble drives that gave him decent looks at the rim today and he didn't finish any of them. He's got to start making those or at least drawing fouls. Hopefully his break-out game from beyond the arc today will help boost his confidence and he'll start making some of those layups.

I don't disagree with you, but at some point when every team "plays over their heads" against us, it's just that our defense is shit, we don't get a hand in anyone's face when they shoot, and we're sloppy with the ball.

Yep a lot of the problem is that when we help on defense we're either late with the help or we over help and don't get back to the man leading to a wide open 3. I noticed this in rays first exhibition game in 2012. And it's still a lingering problem. But definitely a great win today for the dogs

Agree. we are a better offensive team when IJ is at point. Mainly because Malik is better when IJ is at point. MN is very active and gets better open shots. IJ had 5 assists and Malik shoots 7-10 3's

That makes no sense? My post was this: "Come on guys, just f*cking win!"
How in the world did that post have anything to do with Ware and hand position?
Btw, I don't disagree with what you are saying. I just don't know why it's directed at me.

Lets get it straight, IJ had a terrible first half. And a good second half overall.
