I could see him possibly OV Auburn on the 29th. I don't see them as a viable threat but they could get an OV along with MSU & Bama.

People saying we need more talent well this part of it. Not caring how we stand for other kids trying to get the best 25. Plus this was a no brainer offer with Buckley being his primary recruiter at Louisville where he was committed too.
    Great post.

We are loaded at the slot for the next several years, but we need some outside WR's. "Some", not "one". I keep seeing people think we're in bad shape with AJ every time we offer WR's...but that isn't the case. If you can get 3 four star WR's, you get em! Regardless of your top target.

Besides when u look at guys we are losing this year + those that will be Juniors or Seniors next year, you're talking about Bear, Morrow, Ross, Gray, Brown.....it's time to reload at outside WR, and that's not done by getting one guy. Our fan base wants to recruit elite, let's act like we want em all & can get em all! Good post.

Hopefully T-Buck helps us do an even better job of closing. Sounds like he's off to a good start.

Are cushenberry, lashley, and Clark (juco bound, right?) the only olinemen on our board left?

Lashley isn't juco bound the last I heard, Clark was, no idea on Cushenberry.

I think we could see a couple more names pop up.

Think he only meant Clark was juco bound.

Any other guys Buckley was on that might give us a look? (Not just OL, but any position)

I don't think so unless he can convince Trayvon Mullen to switch an OV from Clemson or LSU.

    Possibly last-minute Jermaine Whitehead tactics?

Anyone that discounts AU does so at their peril.

Knott wants to go out of state, AU may give him that chance.

I guess anything is possible but I don't see them coming in the last 3 weeks & stealing him.

If he is so determined to get out of state that he chooses last minute interest from Auburn over us and OM then we would have never had a realistic shot at getting him anyway.

The only reason we have a shot now is because AL is slow playing him. If they said he could commit, he would.

Some kids just want to get away from home.

Auburn's immediate future is a bit uncertain.

I gotcha! I can understand this but in this case this isn't one of those times.

Good grief. Bit of a delay in the response. And I think my post stated it was what others on here have stated about their relationship in the past. Add that with multiple insiders on here and other sites feel our chances are still good with him. We will found out on signing day. I keep up with recruiting but don't get bent out of shape over the ones that don't sign mostly. Except for circumstances like Tee and CJ when it's obvious that underhanded deals took place.

I'm wondering if the staff is thinking about possibly playing AJ Brown at slot at least some. He's about the same size as Ross except slightly bigger. I could actually see him playing slot or outside. It's just that slot is our marquee position in our offense IMO, so I can see where that would be attractive to highly rated WR's.

That's one reason I was really hoping we would land Sullivan because then we could have Sullivan on the outside along with Jamal Couch at 6'5" and then 6'2" AJ in the slot which would be a big WR group. Especially if you add Dontae Jones in at TE/H-Back.

Fitzpatrick sounds like another guy that could play both outside as well as slot.
