And it won't be a waste with Malik.. he will make the team better. we will win some games we arent supposed to because of him as he matures.

We got almost no points on transition this game and settled for jacking 3s all-game. Way too many turnovers. Not nearly enough turnovers created.

Ready thinks he is an NBA point guard when in reality is an above average college point guard. Newman was pressing or nervous or both. Ready is fine when he plays within himself. The bad part is, when he makes a few, some switch in him comes on and he thinks he has the Kobe green light. Also, never going to Gavin in the 2nd half was a huge mistake. This team can't take 30 threes and be successful. Id be willing to bet it'll be a tough few practices.

Absolutely can not happen! Complete shit show. Double digit turnovers and southern capitalizing on them was the story of the game. Malik was 1 for 6 at the line. Idc if you have been out or not as good as he is he cannot miss free throws. It seemed like for most of the game southern couldn't miss a damn shot but regardless we got out played tonight and nonshulantly made some really bad shots. Ready shooting that ball so quick at the end was absolutely idiotic. I understand we are only in game 2 with a new coach but losing to a swac school should never happen. I'm pissed! I hope Howland runs the sh** out of them in practice tomorrow. This team has potential for sure but we foul way to much and turn the ball over way too much. Just don't see how you go from what we did Friday night to that.

I agree he is a much needed player for our program, but he needs to hit those Free Throws (1-5).

I didn't get to watch. For those of you who did, was the game called really tight on defensive end like Friday? Seemed like you couldn't get into people defensively at all without a whistle blowing. I know it's supposed to be a point of emphasis to allow more offensive freedom this year, but dang.

pretty tight. ware and sword both fouled out and they had a guy foul out. I felt there were 2 really terrible calls against us near the end as well.

Yea they are a SWAC school but they aren't the 300th best team in the country. They will win 20+.
