According to Bonner, it looks as if Thunder Dan just went off on someone else who asked an injury question.

Injury questions appear to be Dan's biggest pet peeve, and I'm not sure why.

However, nice guys finish last in the SEC. Saban, Spurrier, Belechik, Parcells, Meyer, etc are all or were all control freaks that had occasional run ins with the media.

These are the types of things that will keep Dan at MSU for 20 years though. He's a good enough coach to keep us competitive and stable, but enough people dislike him that no one really wants to hire him away.

Yea that's fine, glad he did too. However, that's crap he can't screw up. I don't bitch about play calls or who is playing for the most part because he has practice and film to go by to justify the reason. BUT crap like kicking a squib kick and assing up clock management or anything of the sort sends me over the edge. That's why he gets the money he gets, not to ass up the simple stuff!! And those are simple- just don't **** em up!!

When it comes to the media the HBC both gives and takes away. You want info? Then abide by the rules of the one who controls the info. Its clear Dan is pissed that Will's injury got out before he wanted. Fair enough. So don't be surprised when he acts in response accordingly whether its "your job to ask" or not. We've got the TSUN circus that calls who's fired or kept at the CL for crying out loud. Dan doing this isn't anything that bad by that comparison. I thought he was fairly clear on that 2 years ago. If you get injury info, consider it a luxury, not an indication of right moving forward. We have our own beat writer on the hailstate blog. Don't need anything else. I can follow the media press conferences and USA Today writers on my own. Beyond that, they (CL/CD/DJ/BO BOUNDS) don't add jack squat. I don't need Bonner or anyone else reiterating what Kendall Rogers, Jerry Meyer, Clay Travis, Tony Barnhart said on twitter about my team. That is all.
