    Cowbell in a carry-on?

Has anyone tried to get/gotten a cowbell through airport security?

Highly doubt they'll let it through, but don't want to check my bags.

I've done it once but the security guard pulled me aside and searched my bag. When he pulled the cowbell out he just looked at it and then looked at me and said " well it's not on the banned list" put it back and let me go. Mine will be in the checked bag this time.

Better hope your TSA agent isn't an OM fan. I'd check it just to be safe.

I couldn't get it through Jackson back in December.

I've taken it many times (5+ so at least 10 searches). Only time I was even hassled was at the Meridian airport.
