I wouldn't be shocked if he still didn't play.
When the dust settles over the next few days, he and his agent have to decide if 5 or 6 games is worth risking a injury on a certain top 10 pick.
Worst case, the smallest hangnail will put him on IR for the rest of the season.

But why did that effect Redmond?
MSU lost a few scholarships for the coach being involved

Yea but I was speaking specifically to the lying. That is what the ncaa hit dez for. Also what screwed tressell and ohio state. It's always the cover up more than the underlying act.

He'll play.

Our compliance dept. should demand Redmond ' s freshman year reinstated. Based on only 7 games given to Tunsil for the long list of benefits, Redmond should only get 6 games at the most.
If we don't fire Bracky and hire a hard nose defense attorney to run the compliance dept. after this, we don't have a set. Hell, the NCAA reduced Penn State's sanctions just because. We should at least try to reduce Redmond original suspension length.

Absolutely, he'll play. I hope Garrett knocks his draft stock down

Spinning this forward, will the investigation be over now or continue? If it ends now, prob no severe penalties coming. If it keeps going though, you know penalties are coming.

For ED's reputation's sake, I hope this isn't it

it won't be all. There will be some sort of probation even if that is all. The fact that it wasn't announced when the suspension was should strike a little fear in the folks up the road.

I think the less gullible among us knew this always to be the case.....the amount of "spin" from certain peeps on this site is embarrassing, and regrettable.

I have to admit, even though I knew better I started talking myself into believing what was being posted on here and that Tunsil may not play again this year for the bears. I knew better.

C34 hasn't been wrong about anything so far.
I'm ready for the big dad gum hammer to fall. When can we expect that Coach ? What are your sources saying ?

I know that we got probation on top of Redmond suspension, but a coach was involved. During the Ohio state deal, were there coaches involved too or was it just players?

Couple things:
1. This is an om press release, not an ncaa release. Important not bc of what is in the release, but bc of what may or may not be left out of the release.
2. Tied to #1, the release notes tunsil lied. My first question would be did anyone affiliated with the school lie? Bc if so, well, see tressell. My second question would be how did the ncaa find out he lied? Bc whomever knew that info and coughed it up likely coughed up other info.

Reputation of a message board? That's funny!

You guys know lots more about the NCAA and investigations than me, but I've said if Big Softie plays this year I can't see any long harmful things that TSUN can't overcome. I'm in the believe that they are Teflon University. Surely the NCAA found more on Big Softie but obviously not by allowing him play.
I have to see it to believe something bad is gonna happen to the cheaters up north. That's just me.
