Yeah this football team reminds me a little of last year's baseball club.

What a horrible punt. That will lose games.

Fitz looks better than Staley. I will say Staley reminds me of Cam running the ball. He falls forward for 2 yards.

The common theme is no rb can run. As bad as Shump has been this year, he had 10 carries vs OM last year for over 70 yards. Shump is certainly not the answer, but LF would have trouble running behind our oline.
This team is looking more and more like OM '14, but with a lesser defense

Relf as a freshman had problems completing any pass. Relf as a senior > Staley as a freshman. I think Fitz > Relf as a senior.

Staley looks more natural passing than fitz, but fitz is the much better runner.
Staley's trouble is he looks worse at his weakness than fitz looks at his.

This is why half our plays are bubble screens.

There's been plenty of teams with shitty OL's that can move the ball and sustain drives....but it requires a play caller that knows how to take pressure off of his OL. Mullen is struggling trying to figure out how to get anything going from a play calling standpoint with a poor OL.
Ole Miss beat Bama at Bama with a shitty OL, so it can be done. Mullen has got to be the "offensive guru" everyone claims he is though

That's my thinking too. How is everybody so sure Shump can't run when the scheme and the line play is as bad as it is. Williams, Lee, and Dear all look good sometimes. But our problems at running go well beyond the guy with the ball in his hand.

Lee has 21 yards on 4 carries. We just aren't getting him enough touches to get in a rhythm.
That was a targeting missed call. He launched himself into a defenseless player. Same thing that A&M guy did last week. Refs are horrible and going to get someone hurt. They need their credentials to be revoked the remainder of the season.
ETA. Lee 44 yards on 5 carries. Should be case closed on who to go with next week and remainder of season.
