Any updates on TD Moton's status?..
hadn't heard anything lately if there is still a chance he could make it.
-
Still the same. Expecting him to make it late. His school district is a disaster so I'm sure rounding up all the appropriate paperwork to satisfy the NCAA has been quite a job.
-
Paul's update earlier this week said he just finished his last class and needed to make an A. If he does then it will be on the NCAA clearinghouse
-
It won't be Dontea Jones level- but a helluva comeback by this kid if he makes it

Is this a guy that might play this year? I know he was a big time recruit before people backed off due to grades.

One of the true freshmen DTs will play IMO. He'd have to be better than Fletcher Adams....
-
If he was Ole Miss recruit, I have no doubt he would make it. Ole Miss is like the Germans, "ve have vays" of getting them eligible.

I know early on I think he was a 5 star by some recruiting services. It could have been when he was a Bama commit.

I'd bet on Fletcher playing.

Haha. That's pretty funny
90 = initial rating
94 = Wow. Bama wants him so must be really good.
92 = probably his real rating after people had a chance to watch him play a good bit.
87 = Uh Oh, he won't qualify and Bama is dropping him. GPA deduction. Has nothing to do with talent.

Playing true freshmen D linemen is such a waste and we have better depth there than our own fans give us credit for.
If he is dominant as a true then ok but that's rare these days.

He's a dominant type player. I'll be shocked if he doesn't play.

We've played several true freshmen on the DL & I expect Fletcher to continue that trend. We have 5 DT so yea you need a true freshman to play.

This is why the stars and the ratings systems always bother me.

He is very quick for a big guy.
C Jones, N James, N Adams, C Thomas, Grant Harris are the five. Braxton Hoyett would make six DT's if he steps up. does AJ Jefferson play DT?
You're right, it looks like to me with these numbers he is a good candidate to play as a true freshman.
It's really playing true freshmen on the OL that bothers me.
ETA: Which we don't have to do anymore and something that this staff should get a lot of credit for.
