    serious question

is it possible that if Nkem @ OM leaves after this year that he won't have 10 career sacks? he only has 4 through 2 seasons despite starting most of the time. Is there room for him to improve to 6 this year?

    Won't NFL GMs consider this?

Usually, about 5 DL go every year in the 1st round. 3 of those are DEs who are sack machines unlike him. Only one or two DTs every year, but even those guys approach big numbers and are carrying more weight than him.

how much will his HS credentials matter to the NFL?

Mel Kiper just came out with a top 10 for next year's draft- and had Kimchee in the top 5. But one of the things he said was "I'd like to see more production from him this season"

Yeah, Mel- so would everybody. Hype only takes you so far.

I think they are also putting a lot of hope/stock in him because they see him getting double-teamed. At the same time, the first-round talent finds a way to break double teams.

Yeh I LOL'd when I saw that. Has 4 sacks and he's a top 5 pick. Oh ok, Makes sense. Also saw where this was a make a break year for Jones, even though his numbers are pretty much the same

EVERY DT thats worth a shit gets double-teamed. If your DT's arent getting doubled in a 4 man front- you need new DT's

Just curious, where did that mock draft have Chris Jones? I feel like he needs a big year to jump into the top 10.

Mel just had a top 10.

Jones looks like he has finally accepted being a DT. He simply grew out of being a DE- unless its a 3-4. I see no reason he wont have a huge year- especially now that James has lost weight and is wreaking havoc like he is capable of

Double teams didn't stop Fletcher Cox or Preston Smith.

We likely will have these guys drafted in the top 3 rounds next April:

    Chris Jones
    Dakota Prescott
    Will Redmond
    DeRunnya Wilson
    Taveze Calhoun

Worried Calhoun's speed may push him back as he's not a burner, but he's a tough SOB.

Yep that's his biggest question mark. I'm not sure he can break into the high 4.5's & that will hurt him.

So a Penn Rape Qb and a Qb from Cal are considered to have a higher ceiling than Dak? I hope Dak comes out as determined as Kenny Powers and Clegg were on doing the 8ball of Coke on the 1st episode of Eastbound and Down! What does Dak have to do to be taken seriously? I hope he goes to the Manning Academy and tears it up.

Agree with everyone except Calhoun. Good kid, limited size/speed.

I like Justin Senior to have a shot late round, same with Ryan Brown. Also, I think Benny Brown has a chance to be a 4th-5th round pick next year. He will have very little left to prove after another big year.

Wanna know what's scary? We came in second for Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack. Those two would've been HUGE for our defense this past year.

Dak gets compared to Tebow a lot for obvious reasons. Despite the fact that Dak is a much better pro prospect than Tebow- especially when it comes to passing.

The fact of the matter is Dak has to refine his passing game and read defenses a little bit better. Personally, I think he will do that and if he has a really good year- he will be in the discussion for the first and second round.

I don't think Nkemdiche will have the breakout year they're expecting. To be fair, I'm not sure Chris Jones will either.

He is routinely considered a top 8 CB for 2016. His speed may keep him in round 2 or 3- but he is a playmaker and someone will get him early

We were in it for Ramsey but I don't think we the coaches were ever sold on us getting him & Jack never stepped foot on campus.

Calhoun is 6'1" 185lbs his size is what scouts love. Senior has 2yrs to keep improving & I see no way Beni leaves early even with a great year.
