And I thought college games were poorly attended

The Brooklyn Nets are in the first round of the NBA playoffs. They are playing the Atlanta Hawks today on their own court trailing the series 0-3. Tipoff is in 10 minutes. And here's a look at the crowd...this is worse than the Hump looked.

    Holy cow....

The difference in the East and West has been really bad the past few years. Brooklyn made the playoffs with this group of scrubs, while Oklahoma and the Suns are home watching. The lower half of the East is pretty pitiful. I'll be curious to see where D. Williams goes after this season.

Who would bother to show up to watch that crap? And I'm sure the tickets are expensive. Mix those two and you get a crowd like that.

Watching the game now it looks full. Thus is basically Miami a few years ago. With all the stuff to do in New York it is easy to wait till the last possible second.

The city of New York as a whole has a lot to do. I mean I can thing of a dozen thinks in Brooklyn that could delay people from going to the game. Not all of them are legal but they are there.

You want Boston and LA to have a seven game series? The travel would be brutal. Everything works in cycles. It will all balance out. Just like how the SEC West and SEC East are unbalanced. The East was the better conference twenty years ago, now it flipped and it will flip back soon enough.
