Things were be shaking up on the coaching front with all these openings....

And today's lottery winner: Gregg Marshall

He won't go to TX. He's been pretty clear about not wanting to go to a football first program. He'll wait for NC, Dook, Syracuse, etc.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

We shall see. Depends on how much they offer him, but he's definitely on record as saying he doesn't want to coach at a football first school. But as the old saying goes, money talks and bullshit walks.

Texas is different because Austin is the largest city in America without a major pro sports franchise. Yes, football is n?mero uno at Texas but basketball can co exist and receive adequate funding and support.
In Austin, Texas football and basketball is similar to the Cowboys and Mavericks. Yes, the Cowboys are far bigger, but the city is big enough where that has little effect on the Mavericks.

I think Bama was Marshall first and their priority, then Miller and then Prohm.

Not to mention a student body of 50,000 students.
