If we have our guy I wouldn't wait that long. Heck, depending on who it is, he may need every minute he can get with Horatio and his son. I say by this Wednesday.

Announce it as soon as you can. If the guy is still coaching in this season, do it the day after his team's season ends.

I HOPE we have somebody lined up BUT if Stricklin didn't intend to have to fire Ray and rather had his hand forced I'm not sure why we would think he already has someone else ready to take the job.

No- it was the one that told me Hevesy talked to USC about their OL job smack dab in the middle of recruiting.

As has been posted- this decision to make a change was taken out of Strick's hands

My advice 34, is to back off a while. You, and I, don't want your really good info and advice about football to be tainted by your obvious ignorance about what is going on when it comes to basketball. Either admit it or stay quiet for a while.

This. We aren't going to embarrass Ray, ourselves, or the new coach by making the announcement too quickly if we already have the guy in place. The people who need to know (re: Big Train & Malik) will be informed. But there's a certain level of professionalism that comes into play here. I wouldn't expect any announced for at least a full week.
