Sunday Game Thread
Lindgren isn't pitching bad, but he is not sharp with his location. He is missing his spots consistently with the fastball. Hopefully he can just nut up and work through about 5 or 6 innings at least. So far, so good.
In the captain obvious category.... we still don't have a single left fielder worth a shit at the plate

Porter got screwed on that 2-1 pitch. Changed the whole complexion of the at bat. That is what, 5 stranded through 3 innings for us? Or more? We've got to get some of these runs across.
-
Wasting a LOT of scoring opportunities so far through 3 innings. Lost a man trying to score at the plate in the 1st and left 5 men on in the 2nd and 3rd innings.

I love slauter, but ammo is much better controlling running game. Good throw

Really didn't like the Pirtle bunt.

This ump is horrible. I'm not one to talk much about shitty umpiring, but if you're going to call that high and tight pitch to Porter a strike, then you have to call the inside corner a strike to righties when Limdgren hits it. You can give the inside corner, but at least be consistent with it.

Need 2 out hit here. Come on detz

we kill rallys with our batting order just by where they are- please ****ing drop CT down

Rudy Stein takes one in the hip thank God to keep the rally going

No shit. And hopefully Cohen (and all others who doubted me) now realizes that Pirtle is NOT the cleanup hitter that Rea can be. Pirtle's lone RBI on the weekend is a walk with the bases loaded, while Rea has been a beast in the 5 hole. And it's not like Pirtle hasn't had chances...Renfroe is 6-11 on the weekend just ahead of him, so he's had guys on base.
I'm surprised Pirtle stayed in the game after not running out that bunt.

8 runs on 4 hits including an Ammo grand slam in the 4th, not bad. About to be 8-7 after a 3-6 start, and if Ole Miss beats Bama today we'll gone from 6th place to tied for 3rd in just two series.

I agree with Pirtle not being a cleanup hitter, but at this point it seems to be working out pretty well so I'll just tip my hat at Cohen's unconventional lineup getting it done.

Tied for 4th, Ark still ahead

FYI....
Through 2 full games and 5 innings this weekend, we have used a total of 4 pitchers. And the 4th pitcher is still pitching.

Well, Bama just tied it 2-2. But I'll take 4th place in exchange for ole miss losing.
