Yep. 8th nationally in runs. 2nd in OBP. Top 50 in Avg. Fire everybody!1!!1
Please keep going down this road...

That was so eerily similar to B7 earlier today. Exact same scenario heading T8.
-
13 stranded in 7 innings in this game. Currently at 28 through 16 innings today. I didn't even know it was possible to be that bad.

Bases loaded and no outs and we don't score a run. SMH.

Spring training don't correlate

Two on and no outs to begin the 8th. Can we just skip the 8th inning completely?

They got lucky in the 8th inning first game. I won't apologize

I like Cohen's strategy here to just roll with the guy that's getting it done. Watching the bullpen gate open and seeing Fitts run out has started to elicit my gag reflex.

Nice bounce back. Still stranding too many, but a good win

That ain't spring training numbers -- that's RIGHT NOW. NATIONALLY. People need to chill out. We keep getting 20 people on base -- the runs are going to come. It's in the bullpen that I'm having trouble seeing the light come on...

What's our SoS though? That's the point. Citing to these national rankings sound great until you start to consider to context of the numbers. Our basketball team would've been among the best in the country statistically if they played junior high teams every game, but that's not taking into context our competition versus that of a lot of other teams we rank ahead of.

Nice bit of hyperbole you pieced together there...
Be sure to let me know when we fall out of the top 50 in the vast majority of the hitting categories.
There are certainly details and parts of our hitting that need improvement. But we've got a bunch of people that seem to have turned off baseball in 1998 and just turned it back on right now. The overarching freak out, especially in regards to something we've been well above average at overall, is a pretty funny right now...

Top 50 for your cutoff isn't all that great. But get back to me if we are still in the top 10 of multiple major offensive categories at the end of the season after our SoS has skyrocketed. It's not hyperbole to say national rankings right now are not really relevant because of our SoS, and that we'll know more about our true offense in a month or so after 4-5 sec weekends.
