Rain coming down? Looks like it on the feed... Also looks like APB pitcher trying to stall some.

Reynolds got lucky that neither of those last two pitches were called strikes

Brown is lingo. Little wild right now (still young), but you can see how nasty he is. Low 90s most fastballs. I don't think they've squared a ball yet

That was a horribly played ball by Humphreys. He may need to just stay at DH.

Yeah, he was a completely overlooked part of the recruiting class that is going to play a huge role this year.

I'm not really sure why we pulled Brown, unless we just felt like he was at his pitch limit.
Anyway, tarp is coming out. 2 outs with a runner at 2nd in T6.

We've left 9 ****ing men on base through five innings...
Our offense in the past week has look a lot like it did last year- in a bad way. Just downright painful to watch at times. We desperately need to get Collins back and get Humphreys, Rooker, Smith, Holland, Reynolds, etc. going. At least Rea has been hitting the ball pretty well when healthy.

Humphreys is batting .230 by the way with SEC pitching coming on the horizon
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Left the game (rain) but here is some stuff I saw
First, daniel brown is nasty. They maybe hit one ball semi-solid, and it was a flyout to right, not deep at all. He's going to be really good.
IMO, we need to be more agressive at the plate, especially against teams like this. Don't like bunting for hits against and Arkansas Pine Bluff. Do that to get something going against vandy. Also would like to see us attack more first pitches. Holland broke up the no-no doing that.
We have really solid plate discipline. That's encouraging.
McCord struggled again. I don't think he should start again until he gets a good outing under his belt. I would try either Houston or Hudson for these games, and go with Laster if Tatum becomes a weekend starter and those two don't get it done.
Left too many guys on base.
Other than that, it was just a midweek game. Not much to read from it. It was a weak opponent in a midweek with not many folks there, not surprised we came out sluggish. Not gonna read too far into the game, other than the raging hard-on daniel brown gave me. Low 90s fastball and a solid breaking ball. Hope to see him a lot on SEC weekends if he can keep this up

He's hitting balls hard tho. His first was a frozen rope that happened to be right at the CF. He got jammed and still almost put one down the right field line deep. I'm not worried. Reynolds has been the opposite. Lots of lazy balls and whiffs. I'm not as optimistic about him finding a groove before sec ball.

He didn't get jammed. It was a breaking ball out over the plate. I'll agree he's strong, though

Was sitting directly behind his back, so it looked inside but maybe I just couldn't tell from that angle.
He's still hitting balls hard, even if they aren't falling. Needs to be more agressive tho IMO. But I'm not too worried.
