Lulz at the haters. Humphreys with the HR. Also Robson can hit, I was skeptical of him b/c he's not very big. He's been good though.

We definitely will hit far more HRs this year than last. If guys like Vickerson and Reynolds are already getting a hold of them, just about everybody will probably end up with at least 2-3.
And we are going to see some monstrous numbers from some guys around college baseball. Renfroe would have hit 25+ with these balls.

Nice to see humphreys get the hr there, but I'm not sure that proves anything. Rea hit 3 hr's in 1 OOC game or doubleheader last year and went on to have an abysmal year

It doesn't, we obviously know he has power. It's just good to see. I'm glad his rut didn't continue. The longer you walk away with 0 hits, the harder it becomes to relax and focus.

Swinarski! Good to see him in action. I don't like sending a guy from behind the pitcher during a guy's 1st ever college AB when he has 2 strikes on him, but oh well.

I think Swinarski may be a guy that busts out in year three, a la Renfroe, though I don't think he'll put up that kind of numbers.

Nah you're right, I just think he's going to have a big year. He's got ridiculous talent

Game over, 7-1. Unsurprisingly, Mitchell completely shut them down.

Watching that Rea HR again, he could hit so many HRs this year if he does exactly that. Just stay back and use a short, compact swing. He needs to focus on a certain part of the plate and just hammer anything thrown in the vicinity. With no stride and essentially no real load, he can still hit it out.

BTW, was that Gridley that came in defensively in the 9th? It looked like #10.

I believe so. Waddell (sp?) also came in for Wes in the 8th

I think I heard people say Sexton if Mitchell pitched in game 1.
I'm guessing McCord tomorrow?

Nope, it's McCord in game 2. Gridley starting, too. I like that they're keeping Humphreys in consistently. Need to get him going.

He does have some talent- but he is still going to struggle against good pitching and that slider.
