What the hell lis it about Auburn...?
They are landing some top guys. Cowart just signed with them and now they are up to number nine in rankings. I just don't get it!

Word on the block is the AU has a recruiting network on par with what the bears have. It's been that way for a while, from what I understand. We got a first-hand glimpse during the Cam Newton saga.

AU does anything they can to keep pace with Bama. Their track record proves it. More NCAA infractions than any other school.

In their defense, they can sell a recent National Championship and playing in another just a few years ago. What is the OM network selling other than handshakes?

This. Auburn knows how to do this thing right. When they coined their term "All In", they didn't really mean on the football field. Their entire fan base is all in. Auburn is among the gold standard for this, but their problem has been consistency from season to season.
They aren't always the best talent or attitude evaluators and can look at stars too much some times and not realize the effect it can have on a team. They also just don't develop talent that terribly well. They've had some guys in the past that should have been way better than they ended up. It's hard to believe they had I believe 24 seniors on their 2010 championship team and only 1 of them got drafted. The other two drafted were Newton and Fairley.

My point exactly to delusionalist Bears. Every other program pulling in high caliber guys has had some recent history of competing for titles. They've been irrelevant for 50+ years.
As far as Auburb, they seem to Pander and Stargaze a bit more like OM instead of finding guys who fit their program. We have outplayed them on the field 90% of the time in the last 20 years and won a good bit of games against them. Based on talent alone, we should have no wins against them in that span. This is in comparison to Bama and LSU who seem to get what they need without having to out bid many people.
