Just heard on the radio here in Memphis

Money Mike Henig will be at the Memphis Marriott Jan 16-19 and ready to make a deal on all fine furs. The commercial had a really sleezy feel to it.

I've never seen anything in Memphis that didn't have a sleazy feel to it.

Henig is a good Guy. He is very good MSU Grad and supports all Bulldog sports. So if your post is shining a negative light on Mike please don't. He played for Us as Hard as He could.

I don't know many other Bulldogs that worked as hard and took as much of a beating for MSU as he did. That guy is True Maroon.

He gave it all he had. Grinded hard for dear ol State. Not his fault Croom didn't sign a 5 star QB in his place.

The Henig family is all True Maroon. They had a Go State sign up in Montgomery on 85 headed to Auburn a few years ago when we played down there. They may do it every year, just noticed it in '11. Good for them, hope they're still making bank.

I'll never forget that guy. He took a beating and did all he was capable of doing for us.

As everyone has said, Henig put forth maximum effort and took an extreme beating for the Bulldogs. He is also on the very short list of MSU quarterbacks who have won in Tuscaloosa.

Yeah he's one of those guys who I wonder how he would have been under a better coach.

It was not designed to shine a bad light on the Henigs. The commercial is a mix between a tote the note car lot commercial and one of those starving artist sales. I was surprised to hear it.

Henig was also a good supporter for the baseball team. I probably saw him attend over a dozen games in LFL. Good dude.

In defense of Mike Henig, how much different was he really than Clint Trickett at West Virginia?

Trickett is 6'2" 185 and Henig is listed as 6'1" 195. Both guys had similar lean, twig like body types, and both guys could sling the ball around. Mike had a strong arm and showed it off a few times at Georgia, at Bama, and home against Ole Miss. Mike was a good enough passer to be a successful college QB in the right system. Unfortunately, Croom did not offer that.

No way Henig was 6'1". I appreciate what he did for us and all of that- it would be interesting to see what his legacy at MSU would have been had he led us to some of the 2007 wins rather than Wes Carroll.

Henig's biggest issue is he didn't take care of the ball and he tried to throw everything 105 MPH. I think that would have been an issue no matter what system he was in.

Didn't Trickett just retire because of concussions?

I was as happy for Henig as I have been for any MSU player that one fine day in Tuscaloosa. Growing up an auburn fan, you know he wanted that day and earned it. Glad he got it for himself.

He must be a good sales man too. Because this is a great time of year to peddle merchandise in New Jack City. Everybody about to file that electronic return, get that $5,000 EIC from Uncle Sugar and spend it all by Friday.
