1985 Baseball team at half!
Coach Cohen will be holding a very large MSU baseball reunion this weekend, including nearly all of the historic 1985 team who will be honored on the field at Saturday night?s football game. I?m told this will be the most players from that team to be together since their last game in Omaha that summer.
Bulldogs in all sports have been outstanding through the years, but perhaps no program has the history of success as Bulldog Baseball and we are thrilled to welcome players of both near and distant past back to campus as we will have over 250 people in attendance at the reunion.

Will be VERY interesting to see if Raffy shows up.

If he shows it will be the first time for an alumni weekend a long time.

I just figured between the way he supported Polk in criticizing the Cohen hire plus the fact that he and Will apparently prefer to avoid each other I'll be surprised if he shows. Of course, to me, no 85 reunion is complete if Brantley, Clark, Palmeiro and Thigpen aren't all there. Really hate that Van Cleve passed.

It's about time we honored that great team that gave us so much to be proud of when we had little else to hang our hats on!

Was about to post that Dan Van Cleve will be missed.

They will be sitting in gridiron club. They have rented out one of the suites. Lots of the 85 team will be there

The 1985 MSU baseball team is the first one I remember watching as a child. I remember MSU was playing a game on TV and she calls me into the room and says "watch MSU's baseball team. They're really good."
And that was the start...

I put off getting married a week to attend the CWS with wife's full support. Heck, she went also.

We played 65 games in 1985 and I attended 40ish. The others I listened to via Jim Ellis. A great year after two heartbreaking ones. 1983 was 1 win away but Roger Clemens and Texas beat us 2 games (Texas Regional), they won the Natl Championship. In 1984, (I can't remember his name) from New Orleans (yes, the team New Orleans) hit a grand slam to beat us at our own regional in Starkville. No way anyone was going to beat us in 1985 to prevent us going to Omaha after those two wrenching defeats.

Stuart weedie hit the hr for uno. Pronounced weed- eye. Probably spelled it wrong.

Strick tweeted that Will will miss giant's championship parade to be here. That's pretty bad ass
