OM rushed the field after beating us last November
anybody remember the last time we rushed the field after beating them? Did we after the kick and the pick?
I know in 98 they were worried about us rushing the field in Oxford- they had so many police in riot gear guarding against that, Ross Barnett himself was jealous

Yes we rushed the field in 1999 and tore down the goal posts. That was the last time to date that we did that after an Egg Bowl.
I don't know that we rushed the field so much because we won as much as it was because of the awesomeness in general of that season.
In 1998, we had torn down the goal posts after the Arkansas game, so after we officially won the SEC West, I think they were worried that we were going to deface the sacred Vaught.

I say we storm this field this year if we win it and right now, I'm inclined to think
we will. I'm not drinking the bear kool aid. If Wallace gets hurt or aggravates that shoulder I think they will struggle mightily this year. I say, we storm the field and dont' take any knees.

Not no.. But hell no... only way you storm the field if you upset a top 3 or 5 team (which no chance rebs will be that) or its to win the sec west..

You don't rush the field after beating OM. You rush the field after beating Alabama or UF or LSU, not OM. You just go back to the Junction and continue getting wasted after you beat OM/ AKA doing what every State fan has come to expect in the Mullen era.

Rushing the field/court has gotten excessive, IMO. In college hoops this past year, I feel like it happened multiple times a week.

Have any visitors ever rushed a field? That would be epic.

all i want to hear come the 4th quarter is the MAROON WHITE yell as the score on the jumbotron shows our winning score......that's it.

rushing the field in 99 was because we just found a way to pull out another nail biter win to get to 10. It was the best season in school history by win #'s, but of course that's arguable.
The win against Florida in 2000 or so when they were #2 or 3 was worth storming the field.

Dad that UF game was left to the rights of whoever airs those Flash Classic games. The commentary is nothing but "Maine?!"

looked back at the boxscore- Fred Reid had 18 carries and Norwood only had 10 carries...we also threw as many passes as we ran the ball that day- that wreaks of shitty gameplan. I wasnt at the game, and all I can say is "thank God"

I went to watch some UF offensive fireworks. We had PR for a TD and some other breaks. It was a typical Croom game plus the PR. Norwood got on a roll in the 4th Q and broke one. Couldn't believe we won.
Hardly anybody realizes how damn good EJ's defenses were. The stats just don't show it because our offense couldn't stay on the field. We kept Zook's offense in check that day.

I think our players should take the Egg into the stands in the student section after we win it this year. That's never happened before and it would keep us from being fined for having our fans rush the field. Which I honestly doubt they would do anyway.

They should have gotten a reprimand for planning and encouraging it to happen.
