You can do big things a Mississippi State.

I guess that would be a no.

I'd say yes- but not enough to make that much of a difference. Any type of national exposure for MSU in any sport can't hurt the other sports.

If you have good recruiters on staff it could. "You can win a national championship at this school" mantra should definitely be taken advantage of by all sports. I would.

money and women. It makes the world go 'round and trumps everything else. At least with 90% of 18 year olds.
-
It could help, but I doubt it would do too much. Look at Kentucky, always had a heck of a basketball team and until this year they never really made too big of a splash in football recruiting.
-
I think it pays off in the long run.
I'm just loving the way this is pissing off the bears.

Yes. But more importantly the whole schools recruiting.

I think it helps if you have a guy that wants to play both in college.

Their baseball suffers because of their football. As do their other sports except for maybe gymnastics. They just don't pay attention to it.

Who feels more pressure this week should we win it all. Mullen or Bianco?

I would say Bianco. If we win this, our fans will be riding a high for a while. Even if we have a bad season if football, a nat champ would ease the pain considerably

Bianco by a LOOOOOOOOOONG shot. Cohen has outdone all of his accomplishments in five years- and that's counting two seasons that I'll put nicely as rebuilding seasons with a fractured fan base. So, really in three years Cohen has outperformed what Bianco has done in 13- and we seem to be improving going forward. Bianco is already on the hot seat as it is. I know a lot of our fans have chastised some people for the O.M.A.H.A. signs- but there is no doubt that bothers the hell out of them. At least it bothers them enough to want their most successful coach in their program history fired.
What many of them don't understand is that a LOT of their success was because WE neglected our program for seven years with Polk II. It's not a coincidence that we hire Cohen and things shifted in our favor drastically in 2-3 years. And whoever follows Bianco is not going to have the luxury of a Polk II running MSU and recruiting camp attendees only.

Bianco and it's not close...we're a heavyweight in baseball- not even close in football. Bianco is already feeling it and a title would really make his time in Oxford close to coming to an end

Bianco by a substantial margin. Bears already want him gone. A NC for us would increase that intensity substantally.
