Need some help guys....
I have the two deep that was put out today. What I'd like to know is who are the guys not listed on the two deep that we'll be seeing on special teams and any not listed on two deep that we know will get some playing time. Here is what I've come up with. Who did I miss?
Ashton Shumpert
Brandon Holloway
Deontay Evans
J.T. Gray
Dezmond Harris
Jake Thomas
Rashun Dixon
Jesse Jackson
B.J. Hammond
John Harris

I think JT Gray redshirts and not sure about Rashun Dixon at this point, haven't heard much there. Also interested to hear what others think/know.

People seem to forget how good Fred Ross is going to be. Still very young, but had good amount of playing time before getting injured last year. Going to be a stud

Ashton Shumpert - Plays a lot, probably #2 behind J-Rob in reality.
Brandon Holloway - Scatback, maybe 3-4 touches a game. *Should* be our Return Specialist, but probably won't be for some stupid reason.
Deontay Evans - Going to play a lot in the safety rotation.
J.T. Gray - Redshirt. We're deep at DB, no need wasting him for garbage time reps.
Dezmond Harris - Going to play a lot in our LB rotation. Collins loves him.
Jake Thomas - Will play a little as a backup at G. Mostly look for garbage time minutes from him.
Rashun Dixon - I'd be shocked if he doesn't redshirt. He hasn't played competitive football in 2-3 years. Plus we've got depth at TE.
Jesse Jackson - Redshirt. Coming off a major ACL injury. Lots of depth at WR. No chance he's playing this year.
B.J. Hammond - Garbage time player. Once aGAIN, we're deep at WR/TE.
John Harris - No impact whatsoever. Practice squad player who's never lettered. If he plays, we're screwed.
That's my best guesses.

Based on the scrimmage, and how much Collins raved about him.....I doubt JT Gray will ever play DB again. He looks to be the heir apparent to Matthew Wells at LB. I think he redshirts this year, but with Wells graduating, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the opposite way and him work himself into the rotation.

Gray is a stud, definitely a true Dawg!

I bet Dixon does not redshirt. I know he hasn't played football in several years but if he's already 24. I bet that he plays primarily on Special Teams.

I think Gray is going to play...but I don't see any way that Jackson doesn't RS. Nowhere for him to play

Don't know why I was thinking Jesse Jackson was a RsFr. He'll definitely redshirt.
From what I've heard on J.T. Gray is that he has really impressed and supposedly has moved to OLB. I figured with Matt Wells being a Sr. and Jackson behind him being a Jr. that we might want to have someone with game experience for next year. I figured he would play on special teams this year for the most part.
Dixon is 24 and a freshman. I know he hasn't played in a while, but figured he could be productive on special teams someplace. He'll be older than our grad assistants before long.
Had Ross on my list, just failed to type him in. Agree with everyone else for the most part.
The thing that stands out to me is that it appears we're going to be playing guys on special teams who actually will be getting substantial reps on offense and defense also. Seems most years we play a lot of guys on special teams who don't get on the field any other way. Tells me our depth has really turned into quality depth than what we've had in the past.
