It's because most of them are only just now realizing this year ain't likely to be the 3-4 win Mittittippi 'Tate team that their propaganda machine has been spinning since the Egg Bowl. This was supposed to be their year. They're sheiting themselves realizing they may not be the best team in the state let alone the West.

So they troll unconsciously hoping to stir up some kind of reaction that will contain somewhere in it's interpretation some confirmation that there really is no fire and that all is in place and is well in Oxford. It's their psyche as a fan/alumni base. They're a major powerhouse. If they say it then it must be true.

Their depth is laughable at most positions. They have a broken down QB and no experience at backup. They lost the key to their offense in Moncrief. Paidwell will be covered like saran wrap on a rump roast this year. The only thing people are basing their OM hype off of is one recruiting class. We and Mizzou shut down an offense that was much better than the offense they will field this year. The "Stuff the Beaver" defensive blueprint has been laid out and refined. This is the SEC. Other defenses will take ours and Mizzou's game tape and send Bucky back to the pond. Just sit back and watch.

I think his point was that for OM types to actually consider that they might not be the best, they are in real trouble. Factor in how much they overestimate themselves every year and you'll realize how bad that is by their standards.
