What up. Crossing my fingers that West Brom has a better year than last but at least it was exciting until the last day

So I am doing my research on Hull City, but can anyone who is in the know give me a quick rundown of them? Questions I have include:
1. Best player
2. Play style
3. Season projection
Thanks in advance!

1. Midfielder Tom Huddlestone, formerly of Tottenham
2. Fairly typical English team. Their strength is in the middle of midfield, both attacking and defending. Will have to defend and try to counter attack against the bigger teams. They're a nice team size wise, do I expect them to utilize crosses and set pieces (free kicks) for goals
3. I would say bottom half, safe from relegation. 12-16 range if I had to bet

Thanks! Sounds like they'll be fun to watch.

QUALIFICATION: the Champions League (CL) is a tournament (not a league) consisting of 32 teams from Europe's top leagues. Qualification is based on the final standings from each European country's league. Each of these leagues is allotted a certain number of slots, and the teams that finish in them are in the Champions league (top four at the end of the season in the English Premier League get into next year's CL, for example). The number of slots per league are based on how good that league is/how much money it has/etc.
DRAW: Each of the 32 teams are put into certain pots, based on how they finished last year and what league they are in. These pots are drawn, and eight groups of four teams are created. Teams from the same country cannot be in the same CL group.
GROUP STAGE: Each team in each group plays six games, one home and one away against each team in their group. Two advance from this group, based on the points system (just like world cup). The team that comes in third in these groups is sent to the Europa League, which is basically the NIT of European Club soccer.
KNOCKOUT ROUNDS (Round of 16): The top two teams from each group are then placed into another pot, separating the group winners and second place teams. The teams that won the group play a second place team. These two teams then play a home and home with each other, and who advances is based on goal differential. If the goal differential is the same, the team who scored more away goals advances. If both goal differential and away goals are the same, the second game (called the second leg) goes into extra time and penal ties if needed, just like the World Cup.
QUARTER AND SEMI-FINALS: The teams are put into one big pot and redrawn again. The two teams drawn play each other in a home and home, with the exact format as the round of 16 games.
FINALS: The final is held at a neutral European site in late May, and it is a one game winner take all game.
Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, I'm here. Here's some perspective of the size of this. In 2011, the Superbowl had 111.3 million viewers. The Champions League final that year surpassed 300 million
So there's only 32 teams in the Champions League tournament? I was researching it on the internet and it looked like there were about 76 teams in the tournament. But all I'd ever paid attention to was the group stage and playoff, which is when 32 teams are remaining. I was curious about how they narrowed down the 70-something teams to 32. I was trying to read up on it, but I didn't have much time to read.

Here's how they narrow it down. Basically, the tournament starts when the group stage begins (32 teams). The bigger leagues and teams (EPL, la Liga) don't play the playoff games to get into the group stage. The playoff and qualifying games are played between the obscure teams who no one really cares about. Kinda like the games between the 16 seeds in the NCAA

Hull City finished runners-up in the FA Cup this year in extra time and qualified for the Europa League. From there they could qualify for the Champions League same as through the EPL. So two shots to make it to the Champions League.

Yea, that's about the conclusion I drew when I was reading up on it. I'm excited for the Champions League. I think I'm going to be pulling for PSG again this year. If they had Ibra in the 2nd leg of the Chelsea matchup they would have beat them I think.

You could certainly make that argument. I love the champions league. Especially since Real Madrid is the most successful team ever in it, and they're my team

If hull were to win the Europa league, yes, they would then qualify for the next season's champions league.
Here is a great breakdown of how EPL teams specifically can qualify, per their site

He played for Real Madrid, Tottenham, and more, and has always been a good player. He's inconsistent tho, and can be either your team's best or worst player depending on his mood that day. But, he will likely lead them in goals (soldado too) and is their most dangerous player. I like him because he scored to beat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey when he was at Madrid

Hull City is going to be the surprise of the league. Just wait, remember this day that I told you. So let it be written, so let it be done. Quothe WMD nevermore.
