Watching this game and a curiosity came up in my household. How is it that "England" has a team instead of the "United Kingdom" or "Great Britain?" Would that mean that Scotland or Wales could have a team and if so, why? That'd be like having a U.S. team and Texas team in the World Cup.

Recent England squads would have folded like a broke tent after going down.

Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland have their own teams. Think more like Puerto Rico playing in the World Baseball Classic.

Technically England is a country, it's just not a sovereign state.

So, UK gets four teams and we get one. That's fair.

Watching an older soccer player is kind of like watching an old 3-point shooter. The ball/foot skills are usually still there, just can't keep up.

Technically yes, like a 6A school in MHSAA as opposed to a 2A or 3A

Last twenty minutes for England was incredibly underwhelming. They have no expectations and they played like it. Didn't attack for the point. No sense of desperation
