Couldn't possibly have anything to so with who we've played, right? Far more likely it's the "shaved beard meeting".***

Don't get me wrong, I love the sweep, and do think this sweep is a little better than the Mizzou sweep. But I am still waiting to see how we handle the better teams, the kind we can expect to face in a regional.

We are 2-2 versus those kind of teams since the infamous meeting, 4-7 since the LSU series began. I'll enjoy this sweep, hope it's a sign, but will continue to be "cautiously optimistic" until we take a series from a good team.

You have to think that if we can get a sweep next weekend against a very average Tennessee team at home, we have a chance to win the west.

Really, it has more to do with our lineups then anything else Blacklisted. If we go with this lineup from here on out, we could be formidable.

    With the rotation of

    1. Fitts
    2. Mitchell
    3. P. Brown (he looked good today)

    Then a lineup of

    1. Heck
    2. Bradford
    3. Pirtle
    4. Collins
    5 . Humphreys
    6. Cody Brown (PH Henderson)
    7. Detz (PH Rea)
    8. Armstrong
    9. Britton

I think this lineup and pitching staff with Lindgren and Holder coming out of the pen with Bracewell and sometimes Woodruff. Could get us going to a 4-2 finish and possible west division championship. Add in the freshmen like Sexton and Laster as well as our LHP freshman pitcher and we could make noise in the post season.

I just want to see that lineup when we face right handed pitchers as well. We won 12-1 with the lineup above. Hopefully Cohen will have a eureka moment and keep the lineup mostly the same the rest of the way.

Thank you for the intelligent, well-thought-out counter. I'm thinking it may be a combination. Sure didn't hurt that we played the 2 last place teams in each division. That said, sweeps on-the-road are sweet, each a game better than the minimum we'd accept.

We lost a game because we couldn't catch a fastball.

The offense scored, 3, 4, and 1 run in each of our losses.
Every game in college is affected by bad umpiring so ditch that excuse. Plus he made terrible calls both ways that game.

LSU got absolutely jobbed on the check swing call late in a 1 run game. Couldn't believe womaneiri didn't at least come out on that one.

Except that his terrible call on a pitch down the middle of the plate cost us two runs. That is unacceptable.

No doubt. But I would argue that college umpiring in General is unacceptable.
