I wouldn’t disagree. I’m just curious about them. I feel we should’ve beaten UCLA and taken the series at Arkansas. Bad luck on both. Shouldn’t have lost to USM either

9 of the last 10. They won in 2015 and then we won 16-19 and 21-23, they won 24, and we won 25 and 26.
Edited to correct that State won in 2016 and also won the SEC that year. Ole Miss won in 2015 and not again until 2024.

It won?t be for long. They will bust the slump soon.

Stallman not hitting either. He makes contact and and hits line drives but is 233 in the conference.
Bevis -Stallman platoon needs to be back on.
Stallman is a good 1B'man.
Also Chone is a clutch kid. Whenever someone pops a Lefty to wipe out Teel or Stallman, Chone James time.
Parker is becoming too good to platoon. But even he could be PH with James or Bevis.

Maybe, Ole Miss isn?t any good?

My biggest concern about Teel is that he strikes out too much for a lead off guy. However, he is probably the best choice to lead off because of his quickness. Woodson is probably better at contact than Teel, but a bit slower.
It?s probably best to keep this lineup against righties or lefties and I?m sure BOC knows it without reading my opinion on a message board.
Teel
Reese
Stache
Stallman
Woodson
Parker
Frei
Milewski
Chance
4 left, 4 right, 1 switch

Ace and Sully should switch 2 and 3 to breakup the left and right with Teel as the left handed lead off. Then Frei as the Switch Hitting clean up.
Ace is getting big RBIs. Also he did not start super hot last season. Was only a 288 hitter after the 3rd SEC weekend. This year, 330s so doing better than 2025.

I think we win three of those four games with Milewski at catcher.

Even still- they both had hits today. Just need to make some adjustments.

I almost want to put Chance in the two hole but he is so good where he is I'm almost nervous moving him. That would also break up the L/R thing and then we would have Ace and Sullivan hitting 3/4. We could hit Parker 5th and then follow up with Ryder. Then go Stallman, Milewski, and then Frei/Wyers in the 9 hole.

What about this lineup you suggest, but keep Chance at 9 and put Frei/Wyers at 2? Thoughts?

Chance needs to stay right where he is! but i would move Ace down to 5 until he gets over this slump.

Yeah I would probably be a little hesitant to move Chance out of his settled-in spot.

Put Frei in #2 or as the lead off, you eliminate the wipe-out Lefty issue.

I was thinking this as well given Sully's higher OBA means there's a higher likelihood that someone is on base when Ace comes up. Plus, Sully really works the pitcher with high-count pitch ABs.

We?re 22-4 and have statistically the best offense in the SEC, I think what we?re doing is just fine?
