Agreed 100%. And Lord would I love to have Foster figured out by the end of April as well.

Need Foster, Burns, Webb, and Logar settled down. Players grow in-season, at least 2 will be right by May.

oh ye of little faith. Pitching definitely wasn't up to par, but our bats will give us a chance in any game.

We can hit 1-9. And we will always have options off the bench. That will always give us a shot.

Seriously, went off to do some stuff and came back to see we had a 7 run 7th. Glad the offense finally woke up. Not sure why we start off so slow in these games.

Pick Me! Pick Me!
Because we are facing better pitching in the first 3-5 innings.
Down big to UCLA. Came back late once they went to their bullpen. Could not hold it for a win.
Down big to USM. Came back late once they went deep into their pen. Could not hold it for the win.
Tonight do n big through 6.5 innings and busted up their pen. Kept adding to the lead and did not squander the comeback.
Interested to see if State falls way behind Arkansas starters and keep them on the mound into the 7th. If State is facing their top reliever in the 8th and closer in the 9th, comeback isn?t likely. Got to get better at starting the bats earlier against quality pitching.

Midweek and SEC weekends are different animals because we are throwing our best guys. But as far as offense when we get through our third time through the order the advantage goes to us.
So it's kind of the same but different.

This was a good win for MSU tonight.
Most SEC teams would have folded down 7-2. We didn't. We scored 9 runs. I was disappointed that Sweeney and Foster didn't pitch well and Burns allowing home to be stolen was unacceptable. But it was good to see Billingsley pitch better and I really like how Miller is coming along. Ace stepped up obviously and Chone and Reed were clutch as well.

Foster has pitched well out of the bullpen at least. Burns issue is correctable. Webb has been good. Logar hasn't gotten very many opportunities and maybe should get some more to see what he can do. He started at James Madison. I feel like he can give us three innings every Tuesday and be good.

I was actually pulling for olemiss; which may be a first. I was at a gathering last week and a couple of their ?fans? were rattling on and on about how good they were and how they beat State, etc., etc. After some of that, they both turned to me and asked what usm?s coach?s name is. I?m in a text group of neighbors and they text constantly during the games; I?m getting close to explaining to them that this is a long season and it is way too early for all of this.
So yea, I was pulling for olemiss just to turn the volume down a little in hattiesburg.

When he has horrible complete seasons like Lemonis had for years, then he will be held to those standards. Crying to have him fired over a single game or mistake is bat shit crazy if you ever called yourself any kind of coach much less a baseball coach.

I shoulda had para pick my Lotto numbers last night. Here's the pic he took saying here it comes right before the slam. He was some kind of mystical soothsayer the whole game.

For the first time in my life, me too. Actually I have in the past in situations where a UM win would significantly benefit us in some way. This wasn't necessarily one of those but I was hoping they would take down USM a notch or two.

They are now 3-0 against the SEC. They are good and have the bragging rights right now. I tried pulling for OM last night but caught myself smiling a little when Southern walked it off. I can't pull for OM.. it feels like blasphemy
