MBK vs Georgia
The sec can go F themselves! Georgia has 0 fouls with 8:12 left; he have 5
-
They let em travel, maul us, whatever. Seriously, whoever called the fix in should have a lifetime of herpes
-
I just wish we could opt out of the SEC tournament. We will lose the first game by 15+. We are really Rick Ray bad unless Hubbard goes off and scores 40+
-
It was clearly a goal tend, and somehow we get a tech. Seriously, I hope these refs die
-
Now they wanna call fouls after the game is in hand, seriously, f these MFS

Frustrating game and season. Typical today.
UGA can't miss from 3, they shoot twice as many FT as us.
Hubbard goes for 42 and we score in mid 90s and lose. We didn't play bad. As always every team we play shoots lights out.
UGA is good though. March spoiler. UGA just had most regular season wins in school history. They have a lot of scorers. They just beat Bama pretty good.

Jans sounded like a defeated man on the postgame interview.

Even in the 3 years we did make the tournament under Jan’s, defending the perimeter was always our biggest weakness. It’s not a coincidence that teams shoot lights out from 3 against us consistently. We leave guys wide open so the shots are going to fall much easier. Whatever metrics he looked at last year to evaluate the portal, he needs to do the complete opposite next year

Nine whole posts in this thread. Were so dedicated 🤣

He should look at the man in the mirror to see the problem. . . . .

His evaluation process needs Some changes. I think Jans is the right guy though despite this crap season. I think he fixes it

He has to find a Charles Rhodes, Tolu Smith type post player(16/9) and a high flying ball handling hot shooting wing (17/6) to go with a solid assist dealing point guard who can drop 12-15 per night.

The one common denominator with all these teams that shoot lights out is the MSU defense. The 3 point shot isn't that difficult to make when players are left wide open and when players get in a rhythm with it becomes even easier. Jans has got to change his approach to defense and he has to find players that can play perimeter defense. I mean we can't even compete with a team like Bama who runs most of their offense through shooting 3s.

Evaluation issues with Coach Purcell as well. Appears he does better evaluating the high school kids and the players from abroad. Not so.much in the transfer portal.

How much better we would be with Nwoko and Murphy on this team. And those two would be better as well. LSU is worse than us and Murphy just got lost on a bad Auburn team.

Our on ball D letting the ball handler beat first defender is always what gets a wide open 3. We must be better on ball defense.
We were weak in several positions on both ends of the floor. Jans got work to do in the portal and to keep a few key players for next year. Time to spend some money with Hubbard senior year to make a run next year.

Well I guess it’s Auburn getting payback instead of OU.

The year we fired Rick Ray he was 13-19 and 6-12 in the SEC. The "Dentist" just finished the regular season 13-18, 5-13. I don't think Ray got beat by 20 plus points in as many games as we have this year, either. Just saying.
BTW, I knew when SJ JR trotted out as a starter in the first game that this team was in big trouble for the season. Also, it's hard to guard the three (which Jans teams have never done well in his MSU tenure), and give up fewer points than in the 90's or even the 100's recently, when you often have three guards less than 6'2" on the floor together at many times.
