A good Bulldog fighting for his life
Friend of mine I went to State with and is as a dedicated State fan as there is- Russell Thomas- is on a vent fighting for his life after suffering an aneurysm. He is from Houston and coached awhile- then moved on into the admin side. He's in Tupelo trying to hang on.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Prayers being sent. I have known him since the city park swimming pool days back in the early 70's and probably before that. No doubt he is one of the good guys on this earth.

I know RT and he's one heck'uva good guy and he and his family bleed maroon/white. I've been keeping up with LA's updates and he's making some progress but he's by no means outta the woods and has a LONG WAY to go. Please keep this family in your prayers folks.

Russell fought a tough battle but left us to be with Lord this afternoon. We lost a good Dude and Bulldog today.

He was a great Bulldog who never met a stranger. He will without a doubt be missed by many, myself included. Rest In Peace, Russell.

Loss is always tough for those still here as you know Coach. But he has left the physical pain behind and stepped into His arms and presence.

I was hoping he would get some overtime like I did. Really feel for his wife and son. He and his son were very close State fans. Mom is a Rebel but that doesnt matter

My son and I unfortunately understand that pain. It never goes away. We have just learned to live with it.
