Francis out since the first half and for the rest of the game with a hit to the face.

    Final

    Miss. State 42
    Texas 92

    50 point loss
Madison Francis only played 9 minutes before going out with an injury to the head area.
Saniyah King came off the bench and played well running the point against Rori Harmon. She scored 7
points and helped give her teammates some descent to good looks whether they made the shots or not.
Chandler Prater came off the bench and really fought hard on both ends regardless the blowout..7 points.
Favour Nwaedozi led all Miss. State scorers with 9 points, had 4 rebounds.
Awa Fane came in and played hard, showed some good energy and quickness.

    Few Notes.....
    D. Mcphaul (2 points, 2 assists, 7 turnovers)
Trayanna Crisp (2 points, 4 turnovers)
    K. Richardson (1 point, 2 turnovers)
In defense of these players they were on the road up against a really tough.physical defense that goes hard 40 minutes. One of the best defenses and defensive coaches in NCAA Women's D l Basketball. They'll do much better in other games but definitely need to step it up.

We'll get em next year (throwback to 60pt loss to Uconn, year before we upset them).

Something is just off with our team. Too much talent to lose to anyone by 50.

Saniyah King came in off the bench and did a good job executing at the point. Also, she really fought hard on defense, showed toughness. I like her potential for next season. Chandler Prater fought hard. Awa Fane brought some quickness and energy. These 3 stood out to me regarding effort.

I still feel that Miss. State should possibly go out to California and take a look at a couple of under- the-radar young guards....Ebele Mbagwu (junior college freshman) and Ebony Taylor-Smith (high school senior). Also, need to hit a couple of homeruns in the transfer portal or abroad. Definitely need some more size help in the post.

WNBA (I have never watched a game) and Women's college basketball have also become fashion shows. How good they look on the court, appearance-wise, not athletically. WNBA players are demanding a raise despite the league losing millions and being heavily subsidized by the NBA. Read our women's program lost about $4 million last year and didn't even finish in the black in our glory years under Vic, who stomped us at will yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I want our WBB program to succeed and watch bits and pieces, check the games here or on genespage, and appreciate the OP's dedication and game posts.

Title Nine is under attack, and with no rules in men's $ports, especially football, I fear more cuts in all non-revenue sports. And yes, I have a daughter who was a cheerleader in HS.

We need a really good PG. who takes care of the ball and can stop dribble penetration. Doesn't have to score. our PGs are slow getting back on defense and can't make a good entry pass.

Agreed, and being slow to get back on defense is very often a total lack of effort.

One of the commentators during the Florida game indicated that Floruda was running out quick on the fast breaks...and at the same time Miss. State players were mostly jogging back on defense. I did notice at the time that Favour Nwaedozi was one of the Miss. State players that was actually getting back fast. No doubt some others get back. Also, this getting back slow helped tremendously in this team getting blown out really bad by Oklahoma.
