Not having a fall really stunted his development at 3B.

Absolutely- some guys start slow. The talent level on this team however guards against that. They arent going to be penciled in everyday like Rowdy was. We have guys on the bench that can be out there to perform when others arent. Once SEC play starts- we cant play guys that are going 2/12 on the weekend

Yep. It was like clockwork. From the first of season until mid March, Rowdy couldn't even hit it off of a tee then when the SEC started, he'd get red hot. I think that happened every year that he was here.

now with no one out i think it would have been wiser to hold him no matter the gameplan.
Sorry shoeless, just would not have sent that runner ten times out of ten. My first thought was the runner blew through a stop sign until 34 said Cheese waved him around. No two ways about it, Cheese blew that one and bad.

It was always funny with Rowdey because it always happened Auburn weekend, which probably wasn't a coincidence being he was from Auburn. He'd turn it around and be on fire for the rest of the season.

2018-Batting .191 going into the Auburn series. Goes 4-10 on the weekend and ends the season batting .321.

2019- Batting .167 going into the Auburn series. Goes 6-13(with an 0-3 Friday night) and ends the season batting .290

2021- Slump wasn't nearly as bad this year. He was hitting .286 going into the Auburn series. Goes 4-12 and ends the year batting .323

Our 3rd base coach remains Cheese until we see some improvement on the basepaths

Any suggestion that we even consider benching Aidan Teel 8 games into the season is beyond insane.

We are in this for May/June, not March.

I mean.....we have a lot of talent in the OF positions. We can't keep an auto out in the game if we have uber talent behind him. I don't think anyone is suggesting just giving up on the kid but if you can't produce you need to sit for a game or two. This isn't like when we kept starting Tanner Poole. We have better options.

This. Nobody said bench his for the last 52 games of the season. But we do have other people on the team that can perform. We have never had this talented of a team before

I still remember, was it in 2021, against Auburn that they hit him 3 or 4 AB's. Could not be accidental and dang Butch .
