I think Nunnalee is a good lead off hitter. I like having Frei lower in the order because a lot of times when he comes up the big bats are on base already and he can drive them in.

Nunnalee, Teal, or Chance at leadoff, any of those guys would be ideal.

Nunnalee last year was one of the hardest to strike out, even though he did whiff some this past weekend.
Teal sees several pitches, fouls off some, generally has a good eye at the plate. Can drive the ball.
Chance is a good 2-strike hitter. Usually makes contact, obviously can do the bunt game better than most.

This is why I like the college game better. You actually have a lot of different types of players. MLB is homer or nothing now. You don't even see that many defensive specialists. Tony Gwynn or Ozzie Smith might make it but it would depend on whatever stat guru was running the MLB organization.

I liked Chance at 7. Sort of a leadoff guy for the bottom of the order. Baserunners can help out a little pressure on the pitcher and defense, helping out the weaker hitters at the bottom. Lessens the likelihood of a wasted inning.

I don't think Chance would be that great of a lead off hitter personally. To me he does better down in the order with runners on base where he can do something productive.

I have been interested in how O'Conner puts together the order.

Woodson batting 2nd today. I think Woodson looks pretty good, so no complaint really.

    OConner currently has faith in:

    Nunnallee
    Reese
    Teel
    Frei - kind of

    The end. imo.

I like that we are getting more people involved tonight. I like seeing Jacob Parker and Vytas in the lineup. Need to get Drew Wyers some PT this week as well. As mentioend, BOC expects Nunnallee to turn it around and I hope he does. Teel was leadoff for UV most of the year last year and I like him better in that spot and moving Nunnallee down.

Beans pops up too much to hit in the top half of the order
