Least of our Worries Across Our Sports & Beating a Dead Horse Perhaps but Black Uni"s
The last time I looked, our school colors are still Maroon and White. Can we wear those colors more often? We pay these athletes very well, and the deciding color is now green for many of them. In NIL/Portal negotiations, are they asking how often we will wear black and white, and is that a deal breaker? Can they at least follow and wear the "dress code" of the employer, MSU, and wear Maroon and White?
The name on the front and the school should still mean something, if only in the eyes of the fans who pay them in the days of NIL/Portal. I am tired of watching us wear black and white, and doubt it makes any difference in our winning %.
Yes, "Get off My MSU Lawn"!**** MSU Class of 1977.

I don't care if they wear teal as long as they win

If you?re willing to abandon the school colors and traditions for wins, well that says a lot. Maybe you can start a new chant?..black white, black white!

real funny. the kids like wearing different uni's now. you know, the professional paid athletes.

Who cares what they want. Black unis look like ass.

good then call selmon on his celly. he has much bigger issues than bitching about uni color in 2026.

Hey I like the most hideious unis we ever had. Anyone remember Gold Helmets. I also remember winning a EB wearing them.

I don't mind black every now and again, like once a year in football, 2-3 times in basketball, and 5-6 times in baseball, but making it one of the primary uniforms and wearing it more than maroon sucks.

Black unis look fine.
Maroon and white are pretty shitty as far as colors go, so adding grey and black helps.

Agree to disagree. If Maroon and white suck then black and white has to be the most boring combo around.

I am sure he would agree that there is way more on his plate than unis.

We dont have the discipline for once a year. We end up wearing black in the bowl game like we did this year.

you might want to try a color other than what softball uses to honor a teammate that died from cancer .

No one has black and white. Those are accent colors.
Having an accent color as one of your primary colors isn't good.

Gray has been a uniform color for baseball for years. Black uniforms f u c k i n g suck. You want use black then use as a trim color, but not as a primary color. F U C K the players, they?re getting paid, so they can wear our colors or they can f u c k right off and play DII or DIII ball. A lot of what we?ve had lately are exactly that?..not DI caliber. No one tells Bama we want black uniforms, and their uniforms are as generic as Penn St. Two things, I don?t like Jans and I don?t like black uniforms. One more thing, before we hired Jans we had a few people saying we should give Bucky McMillan a look, and the response from one our big basketball donors was ?he?s not ready for the SEC?. Hindsight can be a mfer at times!
