This dude is going to quit in the Spring and will be an Uber driver in San Francisco by fall. He sucked at Sac State and was benched after two games and they let him pretend he was hurt.

If we gave him a penny more than a scholarship, fire everyone

    2) Then he transfers to Georgia and doesn't play and make public comments about being more picky and selective going to play for a staff that knows how to use him.

There's more but his camp and all of his stuff was on public display at the beginning of NIL and the amount of money out there for him. It was handled poorly by a lot of folks. But he's been committed to Florida, Miami, Georgia, Arizona State, Sacramento State, and now us. He was benched at Sacramento State and for the #6 overall QB in a class from 4 years ago to have thrown just over 120 passes total in his career is a major problem.
1- Yes. It's true that he was committed to Miami. UF offered more money, and he agreed. Per the lawsuit, UF did not deliver. It's being called a bait and switch. He gave up money from Miami. What would you have done? So that is not "baggage".

2- Nope. He transferred to ASU where he was the 2023 starter before being injured(knee). He returned for the last game. Was still able to RS

3- Still at ASU and projected starter 2024, he had to have surgery on his throwing hand. That put him out until fall camp. He transferred instead.

4- 2024 was at UGA.. He was not the starter. And he moved on.

5- 2025. Sacramento State. Was the starter but sustained an injury and played in a limited capacity.

I don't consider that baggage. Do I think he is a starter? No. Do I think he can play? Yes. I have seen the videos of him at ASU. He can throw it.

As long as we didn't spend too much money on him, I don't see the harm in a lottery ticket like this. There's always the small chance he'll turn into the guy everyone thought he would be 3 years ago.

Well, we need some available QBs because unless our OL is greatly improved, based on what I saw in the bowl game, KT won't make it through half the season the way he is laying his body out there. He is not a very thick guy and needs to be taught how to slide.

O line will probably look like this-
    LT Sneh
    LG DJ Chester
    C Boone
    RG McVay
    RT Steen
all are juniors or seniors and should grade out better than last years O line

This qb room has a lot of boom/bust potential.

Why do we seem drawn to babysitting projects.

I think when you've had 3 straight losing seasons and there's a QB out there that has a 5% chance of having a "Heisman finalist" type season, you take him. What do we have to lose?

Swann is kind of the calming presence of that room. High floor/low ceiling type guy.

Rashada could be a poor mans version of Kamario but if Kamario got hurt he wouldn't be a bad guy to spot start if you kept the reads simple and relied on the run game.

I think Swann was a good pickup.

I like both pick ups. Swann seems like the veteran coach on the field type and Rashada is a great athlete who can make some plays.
