Deuce Knight commits to Ole Miss
We'll see if the new OC can coach...but he will have plenty of talent to work with. Lane should have never let Weis coach the playoffs and make Golding look good. He helped them recruit. That, and the extra money that they have that's no longer going to Lane

The head has been cut off the snake though. That's the important thing here.

He has. But I think they can maintain at 8-4 to 9-3 with their network of NIL providers.
Meanwhile, State will likely maintain at 5-7 to 7-5.
The Hay is in the barn as far as either being SEC competitive.

Deuce is there fully expecting to the the backup QB. they are paying maddux more than he's worth to be 3rd string Qb simply to get maddux lil brother , the DL. deuce might not be as developed as KT is and he is nowhere ready to compete at the level that they think they will continue.

With this clown show staff more like 2-10 to 5-7.

That's true. I wouldn't be surprised if Golding is on a very short leash tho. They are expecting playoffs again. If that's not achieved by Y2 and it's on a steady decline they will probably pull the string and go get an experienced HC. Their administration and boosters are fully invested and they probably don't have much patience. This is just my opinion.

Each day that passes by I'm beginning to think the same thing. I really hope I'm wrong and we close the portal out with some good OL. If we don't then our young inexperienced QB will be running for his life every game and that's a recipe for disaster. Turnover city.

He?s not very good and been committed to about 10 schools in his life time counting HS and college. Perfect fit at OM

I think it will be a slow burn. They'll be able to maintain it more for one year if they can get Chambliss back. More difficult schedule and I think their offensive staff will take a step back from what they were.

Probably somewhat but I think they give him at least three years. Beating Georgia probably bought him another year I'm guessing. Depends on what happens in the Egg Bowl too.

If he wins an egg bowl, particularly in 2026, he will get three years. If he loses an egg bowl or goes 0-2 with less than 8 wins two years in a row, he will be canned. I don’t think he will go 0-2. I think we may steal 1 from him, but not this year unless KT looks miles better on the spring. I don’t personally think that’s going to happen.

It will hinge on whether Duece is the QB or Chambliss. Mars is filing the appeal in Lafayette County today and lawsuit tomorrow.

Yeah. I don't know what is going to come of that or what the next step after that is. I figure they'll just tell the NCAA 17 you and play Chambliss anyway.

They have only lost 10 players to the portal- fewest in the SEC. Now they did have a bunch of Sr's- but they are retaining alot of talent.

Pretty easy to ride someone else's success for a year or 2 (ask Chris Lemonis). Year 3 will reveal the real Golding if he makes it that long.

Safe to say Moorehead isn't in this room.
