Well, I guess OM football and MSU Women's BB have one thing in common...

both can say they lost the biggest game in the history of the program on a bad no call from the Refs at the end of the game. Just the way it goes I guess.

The zebras were never going to call PI on that play unless it was so egregious that they couldn't not call it; the DB would have had to dragged down the receiver to get that call. Kind of like call a shooting foul on the last jump shot of a BB game; refs always reluctant to call that unless it's much more than obvious.

I know what you are saying and I wonder if thats the reason ND fans give for why no call on the Morgan William mugging with less than 10 secs to go?

No way they were going to call PI there. Both players were fighting for the ball and it looked like the DB for Miami had his head turned to play the ball which if the guy for Ole Miss had caught it I'm not sure that he lands in bounds.

Would have been an all time catch to pull that off.

Look, im overjoyed they didnt throw a flag and thrilled OM lost. But it was a blatant 2 hand hold on the DB. No disputing that.

And the Ole Miss receiver had hand on his face too. It went both ways.

Absolutely. If PI was gonna be called, it could just as easily been offensive because receiver was literally pushing the defender away with his hand to the face. The play was ruled absolutely correctly! NO CALL! It is amazing how both Ole Miss AND State fans always think they lost because of the refs or officiating. I almost hate to read this board along with watching a basketball game, the way our ED fans bitch about officials! It?s nauseating!

ALL fans blame certain losses on calls or lack of calls. If thats why you hate to read the in state sports message boards you should probably quit reading any of them. Heck, just had a Bama fan the other day still complaining about losing the NC to Clemson on a pick play no call at the end. Every fanbase does it.

No they have nothing in common. Refs established all game long touching a WR was not PI. OM held all game long and they never called it.

Also hail mary's it is fair game and the ball was way out of bounds.

Just OM spin saying they were cheated. What big losers say.

Not really the same. Golding did not take out his best defender so he could put his kid in to have a Kodak moment.
