A few final Ole Miss comments....
I bet Lacy and Trinidad are about to spend some serious time wishing they hadn't made emotional decisions during a playoff run and signing NIL deals. They will both realize they should have left for LSU soon, if they haven't already.
2. Pete Golding, back to reality. Dude started on 3rd base and thought he hit a triple.
Your defense finished the year with back to back 30+ point playoff performances.
3. If I'm Chambliss, I may go Pro...because your stock will never be as high as it is right now. And he's legit.
I have never seen a team drop as many picks as Miami did tonight, while seeing a group of receivers catch more contested passes as Ole Miss. I truly feel like the better team won, but my goodness the Rebels damn near pulled it off.
Exhale. And get better State. Because I bet that was a fun ride.

3 all day. Hey LK never gets to tonight. He would've gone for it instead og kicking Fgs last week.
-
Chambliss will be a mid to late round pick, so he will make more next season at OM. Wish he would go though
-
I seriously doubt those NIL contracts are binding...
-
They're overpaying to keep Lacy and will to keep Chambliss. I think Chambliss gets cleared but it is interesting that he has already been denied by the NCAA twice.
I would go to the NFL because it's not worth it dealing with all of those lawyers and all of that. If it goes sideways he could end up playing for the Sasketchewan Rough Riders for a year or so.
Not to mention injury risk- see Chad Kelly.

Maybe short term. Long term he would make more in the NFL.

Well like Ole Miss fans told us when we made our final 4 in basketball and when we got to the college baseball final in 2013 nothing really counts or matters unless you win it all right? Or does it now count to have a great season and not win it in something? They need to pick a lane (no pun intended)

You're assuming he gets a 2nd contract. That's a big assumption for a mid- to late round pick

I did not realize until listening last night to the broadcast that ole miss is really bad this season in missed tackles.
Good job Petey.
Seems like ole miss promoted petey all for this playoff run only, and maybe he also leveraged ole miss if he was not head coach he might look around and leave also.
-
Also, do you notice how every ole miss HC hire, the fanbase try to make them a Man of God. They even were promoting Lane found himself and faith at ole miss. This past week they were promoting things Petey said about the team faith....but never mind he cusses on every media interview.
They just have a strong desire to connect their coach to a higher plateau of faith, so that they can all worship him.

Olemiss’ streak of good luck hit a bump last night with Lacy getting dinged up. At the same time though, Miami was down a few defensive players by early 3rd quarter, whether thru injury or ejection. Also, Miami didn’t play a very clean game; they were steam rolling olemiss with their running game all night but would commit a penalty and derail their drive.
I did enjoy seeing some good old school smash mouth football that Miami was playing on offense.
-
The difference in the game was Miami controlling clock and running the ball.
-
I just want all of the Ole Miss faithful to keep that same energy about Pete when he's 7-5 or 6-6 next year. They bitched about Lane's loyalty but will throw this clown under the bus at the first sign of trouble.
-
So, you don't think the beard trim and shorter hair cut will be all he needs?

He'd get a 4 year deal probably making over a million a year plus signing bonus as a mid round pick. I think he could definitely see his stock go up a good bit if he declares and be a late first round or early 2nd.

Well, Oxford is Gods Country, so....******************************************** **********************
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Well, they are correct when they say Oxford is God's country. God did create Hell.

I don?t know guys. Ole Miss looked really good. Throughout the run.
Whether Pete started on 3rd base or not, he coached very very well through this run. They stayed disciplined, played extremely hard and made it to the final 4.
We want to discount their success, but they are way ahead of us at this point and have been for at least 3 years.
As much as I hate to say it, C34 and a few others saw this years back.

Every projection I've saw is 3rd day pick.

Next year a huge year for OM and Pete. Tons of NIL momentum but you have to feed the beast or the beast eats you.
