    Sec hoops midweek

    Georgia at Florida
    SC at lsu
    Texas at Tenn
    aTm at auburn
    Mizzou at Kentucky
    OK at state
    Bama at vandy
    Ark at OM

Pretty crazy that jans and beard have their backs against the wall this early. They have to win.

Vandy hosting bama is big time game. Vandy has clearly been the best sec team, and they get bama on their home court. Hats off to vandy's athelic dept for an amazing sport year so far

OM has their backs directly against the wall. They really needed a win Saturday. They're staring 0-5 to start the conference slate directly in the face right now. And with how many transfers they have, they may fold with a start like that.

We gave ourselves some grace Saturday but we really need to win Wednesday night, and honestly need to win Saturday. If we could somehow get to 3-0 our NET would probably be in the high 60s and our RPI would be in the 50s. That loss to SMU continues to haunt us. We let that one slip away and that'd be a Q1 win right now.

You could say the same thing about the SF game. If we split those 2, this season is in decent shape

Yea we really need San Fran to get their Net into the top 100 so that would only be a Q2 loss.

Smu winning the other day didn't hurt

It didn't hurt but that's a Q1 win for us if we don't blow that one in the last 8 minutes. We were up 9 with 8 to go. Also didn't help that we made it 58-50 with 11:13 to go on a McGhee 3 and didn't make our next FG until Epps made a layup with 4:11 to go.

Got to have Wed's game if we gonna do anything this season. There's a path to 10 SEC wins in this schedule.

10 wins probably puts us on the wrong side of the bubble. 11 right on it. And 12 puts us in.

Also matters greatly who those wins are against if we win either 10 or 11.

LSU loses again and to SC at home. 0-2 in the SEC and now 12-3
Gators get the home win vs Georgia as both are now 1-1
Tenn likely holds on at home vs Texas with a nice lead in the 2nd.

And auburn bought to fall to 9-6 (0-2). They're a good example of why I'm not sold OM will be good next year in football. New coach comes into the season with a loaded roster, but new coach ain't the old coach

It's amazing how Auburn just imploded with daddy Pearl. I don't know what their expecations were if he had stayed because I don't know the roster that well but I'm sure it was better than 9-6. Really surprised to see OM struggle as well as I liked some of their transfers on paper and I think Beard is a good coach who could have gone elsewhere last year possibly and decided to stay.

McMahon is probably out this year unless they figure out a way to make the tournament. That will be 4 years in a row under him with no NCAA appearances. Bucky McMillan will do really well at aTm he is a really good coach. I am sure Auburn is not happy they are stuck with Steve Pearl knowing that if Bruce had retired earlier they probably could've got Bucky.

Auburn really seems to be getting the "Mississippi State treatment" from SEC officials this year in both football and basketball. I know Cohen doesn't make a lot of friends. Pretty shocked they waved off that shot at the buzzer in the Auburn gym last night. Seemed it was really in the gray on whether the ball left the fingers before the buzzer.
