Yep, tired of everyone just blaming money for our issues. We got issues way bigger than just money.

A good argument can be made that we should have cheated bigger and sooner and with more dedication and organization so that we had the infrastructure in place for the new normal when it all went above board.

MSU needs to leave the SEC. We have been left behind and there is no catching up anymore. No one wants to coach here other than BOC with the Taj Mahal of a baseball stadium we have. The powers that push the buttons don?t want to spend the money to win in football. It?s obvious. And before any of you start ripping on me that this a stupid thing to say, it?s no worse than some of the other silly shit that gets said here

The only problem is if we leave we die, it’s a killer for the university and Starkville. Other than that you’re pretty much on point.

Here is what I expect to happen for the next decade:
Baseball thrives as it is being funded like a Top 5 program
Basketball continues to stay middle of the SEC as it is being funded middle of the SEC
Football remains bottom 1/4 of the SEC in wins and funding. Lebby fired. New guy is the same thing and is fired after 3-4 years. New guy after him is the same thing
We keep holding on to that SEC paycheck
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

If funding doesn’t change this is exactly what will happen.

If that is the game plan might as well be dead last in football funding and put it towards being top 1/4th in Basketball

That's why I'm losing interest in MSU athletics. Never dreamed I would. But why should I invest my time and money into
It if the program isn't investing theirs?
If this Ole Miss run doesn't wake our program up, it ain't waking up. Bc nothing tends to motivate each program like the other one reaching the mountain top

This is the approach we should take. We only have to buy3-4 top basketball players yet football takes about 30 so we could win in basketball. At least rather be winning in 2 sports instead of 1.

How much do y'all think we are spending in basketball this year?

If I had to guess, 3 million bulk of that being Hubbard. Apparently Sean Jones Jr. is getting $200k. I bet Hubbard is right below $1mil. That is purely my guess.

First, I would never ?want? to leave the SEC for many reasons. However, when I hear someone say that would kill our program, my response has to be we have been attending the Wake for the past 3 years.
I find it interesting that Arkansas couldn?t field a winning team but Arkansas State did and played and won a bowl game. Harding University played Ferris State for the DII NC last week.
Southern Miss usually has decent success in the SunBelt and they have a heck of a competitive baseball program.
Tulane, a perennial bottom feeder has had much success in the past 8 years.
Kennesaw State, Ga., in their 2nd year in FBS had a winning record.
James Madison, in their 3rd year, played in the playoffs. Did t deserve it, but won enough games to qualify by the current rules.
In fact, the SEC is So Top Heavy that the bottom 4 all finished 1-7 in league play. No wonder the SEC sucked in bowls and playoff games this year. The top beat up on the bottom.
Non-the-less, State doesn?t need to drop into the G5 until State is told to by the upper echelon of The Professional Minor League Football Organization.

Jones' 200 k is widely reported here, so 9.8 million for 14 players. Chol, Warren, and Paul aren't getting 200k. Hubbard is obviously getting a ton, but how much?

This season is what I understood.

Besides #1, the best lottery pick players top 10 are getting about 2 million according to reports and everything I have read. If you have inside info and knowledge within the athletic department and program then ok but if you don?t you are wrong.
How much is Hubbard getting?
